Lovely guided tours 😊

As part of our Lughnasa celebrations, this Sunday we are hosting two guided tours of the Grange Stone Circle. The Grange Stone Circle is one of Ireland's most important ancient sites and has resided on the shores of Lough Gur for almost 5,000 years. This tour will shed light on the origins of its builders, its function, as well as its important links to the regions local folklore and customs. It is especially important at this time of the year as the stone circle is directly linked with Crom Dubh, the ancient god of the harvest.

This is an opportunity to learn more about one Ireland's most fascinating, mysterious, and important prehistoric sites.

The guide is Brian Collopy, local historian and folklorist, who has been leading tours around Lough Gur for more than 10 years.

Tickets cost €5 and there will be a tour at 12pm and 2pm. Tickets can be purchased using the below link:

Did you know that lots of red squirrels call Corderry Farm home?

These beautiful creatures can be seen in different parts of the farm, but they have one particular favourite hangout place. Early morning time or mid-afternoon are the best times to watch them jump from tree to tree high above your head.

I always find it so special and exciting, the days that I get to witness them play and frolic about. Here's to hoping that these gorgeous charismatic native red squirrels choose too always make Corderry Farm their home.

Check out the before and after pictures of the new look Haggart!... with new viewing area together with a social fire pit area.

We earned our weetabix on this one πŸ˜‚ with the only access through a small side gate, all the clearing had to be done by hand. With the scrub towering above my head, John and I, armed with a Billhook and sickle got to work!

I might have gone missing the day that the stone had to be wheelbarrowed into placeπŸ˜‰πŸ€£

With the birds singing and woodland feel this area is gorgeous. There is also a separate BBQ area that our guests at Corderry Farm have exclusive use of.
