Well done to our Tralee Bay Stingrays over the summer months. What an wonderful group of young people we have in our Rookies, Junior and Senior Squads. We finished this morning with our senior squads surfing in Banna. Over the summer our training included open water swimming, contact rescues, tube rescues, board rescues, running and swimming, identifying hazards, weather conditions, communication, signs and signals, using rescue boards in the surf, and some surfing. Well done to all who have trained hard over the summer. We could see the skills improve, the confidence grow and a team bound being formed. It was and always is a pleasure been your coach. See you all in the pool in a few weeks. John

What a weekend. What a community. ❤️🌊

As we look back on our Fenit Swim Fest 2026, we just want to say a huge THANK YOU to every single person who was part of it.

From the Dip in the Nip, to the Fenit Lighthouse Swim, and finishing with the Ballyheigue Shore to Slip Swim, we had over 250 people take to the water over the weekend. 🏊‍♀️🏊‍♂️

But events like these don't happen without an incredible team behind them.

To everyone who volunteered their time to kayak, lifeguard, help with registration, marshal, support swimmers and lend a hand wherever it was needed, thank you. You helped make the whole weekend possible. 💙

And to every swimmer who showed up, embraced the conditions, supported one another and took on the challenge, thank you for being part of such a special weekend.

It takes a community to make something like this happen, and we are so grateful to have such an amazing one around us.

Here are just some of the memories from a weekend we won't forget. 🌊❤️

Thank you all, John and Michaela.

🚣 KAYAKERS NEEDED – CAN YOU HELP? 🚣

We’re looking for a few kayakers to provide kayak support for the Ballyheigue Shore to Slip Swim this Sunday as part of the Fenit Swim Fest so we can accommodate more swimmers.

You do not need to be taking part in the swim, we simply need confident kayakers to support our swimmers along the route and be part of the event.

📅 Sunday 23rd August
📍 Ballyheigue Beach
⏰ Approximately 3.15pm–5 pm

If you have your own kayak and would like to help out, we would love to hear from you.
