Wonderful news to extend the walkway to The Spa.

Delighted to hear that Kerry County Council has been granted funding to extend the Canal-Cockleshell walkway to Spa and to link it to the Tralee-Fenit walk away. 👏👏

POSITIVE NEWS: COVID-19!

Today marked another hugely significant step in Kerry's battle to keep Covid-19 away from The Kingdom.

We have, as of the latest figures released this evening went 28 days or 4 consecutive weeks without a single confirmed case of Coronavirus in our beautiful county. The last case confirmed was on Tuesday, May 19th.

Currently, we are the only county in Ireland to hold this status and only the second county to reach this point.

This is simply put, down to the tremendous efforts and the sacrifices of so many to adhere to the guidelines put in place by our public health experts for everyone's well-being, including our loved ones.

Whilst today is a really positive step we can't be lured into a false sense of security and in doing so think the job is complete as unfortunately the virus remains at large throughout our country, it only takes a small few cases to start the spread or cycle again in our home county so we must remain highly vigilant at all times, eradicate the potential for a second wave through our actions and continue to ensure we are following the Stay Safe measures to keep on our upward trajectory as society opens up further in the weeks ahead.

Well done Kerry, lets keep it up!
