Kerry Mental Health Association is inviting golfers to take part in its inaugural Charity Golf Classic at Beaufort Golf Club on Friday, 31st July 2026.

This special event aims to raise vital funds to support mental health services across Kerry, including the purchase of transport for local mental health day centres and the delivery of mental health education programmes throughout the county.

Teams of 4 can enter for โ‚ฌ400, with tee times available throughout the day โ€“ the perfect way to kick off the August Bank Holiday weekend.

Minister Christopher Oโ€™Sullivan Visits Tralee Bay Wetlands

Minister of State for Nature, Heritage and Biodiversity, Christopher Oโ€™Sullivan TD, recently visited Tralee Bay Wetlands Ecology Park & Activity Centre following the official opening of the Kerry Biodiversity Conference 2026 at MTU Tralee.

The visit highlighted the important role Tralee Bay Wetlands plays in biodiversity awareness, environmental education, sustainable tourism, and community engagement across the region.

Minister Oโ€™Sullivan was welcomed alongside Minister for Children, Disability and Equality Norma Foley TD, representatives from Kerry County Council , Fรกilte Ireland , NPWS, and Transition Kerry, with discussions focusing on ecological conservation and future environmental initiatives across County Kerry.

The visit reinforced a shared commitment to protecting Kerryโ€™s natural heritage and supporting sustainability and biodiversity initiatives throughout the region
