Rifugio Locatelli, Dolomites, Italy 🇮🇹 That red-roofed hut sitting at 2,405m is Rifugio Locatelli, and it's the front-row seat to the Tre Cime di Lavaredo, three of the most recognizable rock towers in the Alps 🏔️🔴. The hut has been serving hikers since 1883, and you can reach it on a well-marked trail from Rifugio Auronzo in about two hours, no ropes required. Order a bowl of canederli on the terrace and try to process the fact that those spires behind you are 230-million-year-old Dolomite limestone, basically a fossilized tropical reef.

🇵🇱 Today, on Polish Flag Day, we honor the heritage of our national flag. It is a symbol that accompanies us in our everyday lives, as well as during the most pivotal moments for our nation, serving as a reminder of our identity and history.

🇵🇱 The Polish national colors are among the oldest in Europe. Their origins date back to the Middle Ages and are deeply intertwined with the history of our national emblem, the White Eagle. The white on the flag represents the white of the Eagle, which likely first appeared as Poland's coat of arms during the reign of King Bolesław I the Brave. The red is derived from the background of the heraldic shield on which the eagle is depicted.

🇵🇱 White signifies silver, as well as water and purity. Red is a symbol of fire, representing courage and valor, and stands as a reminder of the blood shed for Poland's freedom. The White-and-Red flag embodies a magnificent history; it is a symbol of heroism, hope, solidarity, pride, and freedom. We are proud of Poland!

Brilliant shot of a Gondola

A Venetian gondola is a traditional, black-lacquered, flat-bottomed boat propelled by a single oar, now used exclusively for scenic tourist rides through the canals of Venice. These ornate boats, carrying up to six passengers and a gondolier, provide a romantic and iconic way to see the city's historic palaces and bridges. Rides are regulated, with official government rates, and can be private or shared. Gondola's cost up to €50,000.
