Brendan was born in Fenit, County Kerry in 484AD and is buired in Clonfert, County Galway (577AD). He is one of the 12 Apostles of Ireland patron of both the Kerry and Clonfert dioceses in Ireland. The conference is part of the Saint Brendan Week Events in Ireland which include Mass in Ardfert Cathedral, and tours odf North Kerry sites associated with the saint.
