All Athenry Connect services will depart and drop off at our stop at Tesco Athenry (at the bridge)
We will not serve the Tuam Road or the Arch for any service tomorrow.

St. Patrick’s Day Tuesday 17th March 2026

All services will operate a SUNDAY service.
The 406 Oranmore - Bearna will not serve Eyre Square due to the parade. The service will use Spanish Arch as pick up and drop off.

All services departing Galway Cathedral will depart from The Headford Road (opposite Dunnes Stores Terryland).

All services from Galway Coach Station will continue to serve there normal routes.

Free Travel Update – Important Notice

From 1 March 2026, customers using the Free Travel Scheme must present a valid, in-date Free Travel Public Services Card (PSC). The expiry date is printed on the front of your card, so please check it carefully. Free Travel Paper Passes will no longer be accepted from this date.

If your PSC has expired, you should renew it as soon as possible. You can renew or apply for a new Public Services Card online via MyWelfare.ie or by visiting your local PSC centre.

The National Transport Authority has temporarily allowed customers to travel with an expired PSC, however this arrangement ends on 28 February 2026. From 1 March 2026, customers presenting an expired PSC may be refused free travel.

Storm Amy Friday 02nd October 2025
We are currently keeping track of the weather as it comes for tomorrow Friday.

Galway and Mayo are currently under orange warnings while else where remains at yellow. We will continue to monitor the situation but we plan to operate as normal tomorrow Friday 02nd October.

Service 936 Bearna to Parkmore

Please note timetable changes to route 936 Bearna to Parkmore

Due to increased demand our first Daily departure Monday to Friday will leave Bearna (Freeport Bus stop) at 04:30

Services will then operate 05:00/05:20/05:40/06:00 and every 20 minutes until 08:00. There will be increased buses on our 05:40/05:00 and 06:20 services

Buses from 06:00 will.operste every 45 minutes until 10:00 due to traffic restraints.

There will be no service between 10:0 and 13:00
and buses will operate again in both directions from 13:00 until 18:00

Evening departures have not been affected and will continue to operate as normal.

All services will now pick up and drop off at Medtronic Building 1 and celestica.
We will no longer use the bus stop on the Parkmore Road

Limerick - Galway/ Galway - Limerick service Direct

We are delighted to announce that from Monday 22nd September we will begin operating 3 daily return services each way from Galway to Limerick Direct
This service will connect Galway with Tus Shannon and UL operating 5 days a week Monday to Friday.

Customer Update Saturday 17th May 2025

There will be extra buses added on all services serving Salthill Tomorrow 17th May.

Extra buses will operate between Salthill and Merchants Road in anticipation for big crowds expected for the GAA Double header in Pearse Stadium Tomorrow. There's service's will operate between 12:30 every 20 minutes towards Salthill until 5:30 and then every 10 minutes from 19:30 until 20:30

These buses will operate Merchants Road to Dr Mannix Road Direct and will not stop elsewhere. If attending please use these extra buses instead of the Normal services.

Customer Notice
We continue to observe the weather conditions overnight and will make a full decision on return to service this morning.

The following services will not operate today Friday 24th 2025 and will resume Normal Service Saturday 25th January 2025.

41 Commuter service will only be able to serve Loughrea/Ballinasloe and Athlone via Motorway all other towns will not be serviced today

Route changes
406 Oranmore - Bearna will not serve Oranmore Train Station or the Coast Road.

Weather Notice
Thursday 23rd/Friday 24 January 2025

All services will end 23:00 Thursday and will not resume until 12:00 midday Friday afternoon when the storm has passed due to the Red Weather Warning.
