We’re just leaving Munich 🇩🇪 where Good Food Ireland® had the pleasure of representing Ireland’s culinary tourism offering in partnership with Tourism Ireland, sharing our island’s food story with German journalists at a high profile media event.

Led by Margaret Jeffares, Farmer and Founder of Good Food Ireland®️, celebrating its 20th anniversary, the delegation brought together four inspiring women who are helping shape the future of Ireland’s food scene. Joining Margaret was Aoife Nic Giolla Coda of Galtee Honey Farm , Grainne Calvey of Achill Mountain Lamb and Sinead Gillard of Jinny's Bakery & Tearooms

Each has her own story to tell, united by a passion for Irish food, a connection to the land and a determination to bring the best of Ireland to a wider audience.

Good Food Ireland was delighted to present a food sampling showcase in the Guildhall in London last night as part of the annual Flavours event organised by Ireland

We met with UK inbound tour operators to talk about the Good Food Ireland Experiences website and the Collection, and introduce some of the businesses who offer food and drink experiences for visitors to the island of Ireland.

Joining us from the Wild Atlantic Way were Noel Leahy of Sliabh Aughty Honey & Natural Irish Skincare Patricia Farrell of Wilde Irish Chocolates representing Ireland’s Hidden Heartlands, Sandra Tighe from Vintage Tea Trips in Dublin and from Northern Ireland, Lorraine Small of The Walled Garden Helen's Bay and Johnny McDowell of Indie Füde

Thanks to Tourism Ireland for the opportunity to participate and represent the range of businesses in the collection who offer culinary tourism experiences from across the island of Ireland.

It’s always great to catch up with the food and drink producers who are part of the Good Food Ireland® Collection, and this weekend was an opportunity for Alison Johnston our Sales & Marketing Director to do just that at Taste Ards & North Down at Bangor Castle.

The artisan market showcased a brilliant line-up of local producers including:
Ingrid Maxwell of The Mallow Makers, Wayne Adair of Papas Mineral Company Johnny McDowell of Indie Füde and Will Taylor of Glastry Farm Ice Cream, one of the founding members of Good Food Ireland®.

Alastair Bell of Irish Black Butter was there to announce his new partnership with Clandeboye Yoghurt, and a new Irish Black Butter yoghurt launching in Northern Ireland next week.

A really great day, and a fantastic showcase celebrating the quality, diversity and creativity of the many food and drink producers from the Ards and North Down region.

Earlier this week, EU Organic Day was celebrated across Europe, recognising the farmers, producers and businesses committed to organic food production. 🌱

Within the Good Food Ireland® Collection, two very special places offer their own distinctive experience of Ireland’s organic food story.

The Strawberry Tree Restaurant at BrookLodge & Macreddin Village is Ireland’s only restaurant certified by the Organic Trust, with menus shaped by organic, wild and locally grown ingredients.

In East Cork, Ballymaloe Cookery School is situated in the heart of a 100-acre organic farm, connecting food education with the land and showing students where their ingredients come from.

Together, they offer two wonderful ways to experience organic Irish food—from the farm and garden to the classroom and dining table.

Save The Date ✨ This November, Good Food Ireland® will celebrate 20 years of championing the people, places and produce behind Ireland’s food story.

Our 20th Anniversary Celebration & Gala Awards Ceremony, in association with FBD Insurance will take place at InterContinental Dublin on Monday, 16 November 2026. The evening will bring together the producers, chefs, hospitality businesses and tourism partners who have helped shape Ireland’s culinary reputation, and recognise those carrying it forward.

We look forward to celebrating this milestone with the community that made it possible.
