Summer might be winding down, but the Lady Patricia isn’t going anywhere just yet. Emerald Tea Tours are moving into autumn with a new seasonal afternoon tea, bringing warmer flavours, a few cosy weekend spins around Wexford and definitely one of the more unusual ways to spend a weekend in the county.....

A double-decker bus, afternoon tea, and a tour of Wexford was never going to be the most obvious combination, but that was probably the point. Since launching, Sean Thompson and his family have continued to build the experience around the Lady Patricia, taking people out on the road to see the county from a completely different perspective. Seán came up with the idea, his dad Emmet is behind the wheel, and his mum Olga looks after the food, much of which is made in-house. A hands-on approach is a big part of what makes the whole thing work. It doesn’t feel like a standard sightseeing tour with a few extras added on. The journey, the food and the places they pass through are all part of the same experience. Over the summer, the bus has travelled routes through some of the best-known parts of the county, giving party nights, bingo and a reason to look at familiar places a little differently.

As we move into Autumn, Emerald Tea Tours are still on the road, still serving afternoon tea upstairs, and still proving that sometimes the ideas that sound a little bit mad at the start are the ones worth giving a go.

Emerald Tea Tours started as a fun idea to bring something different to Wexford.....After transforming an old London bus into Lady Patricia we're still a little bit mad.....Still great fun and very much only getting started.

Most afternoon tea kitchens don’t travel at 60km an hour.....Ours does and behind the scenes of our tea tour you will find Olga and the team, homemade brown bread, freshly made sandwiches, locally sourced Wexford ingredients, cakes, jams and smoked salmon from Meyler’s in Wexford Town......and then there’s fresh scones baked while travelling through Wexford. (Every scone served on board is actually baked on the bus, while the bus is moving)

Thank you Olga for the care and attention to detail she puts into every tour, keeping only the highest standards, even when the kitchen is doing 60km an hour.....

A couple of spaces have opened up aboard Aggie Brown’s Summer Shenanigans this Bank Holiday weekend Ireland’s only BYOB Granny Bingo on a bus. Aggie will calling the numbers but it's the driver Emmett who we feel sorry for 😁😂
