Established in 2007, Earth’s Edge is a small business based in Dublin, Ireland. We offer high altitude trekking, mountaineering, and our signature tri-adventure expeditions in some of the most stunning locations in the world. We are the only company in the world that have an expedition leader and doctor on all expeditions while keeping group sizes sustainably small. Having an expedition leader and

doctor allows us to deliver an unrivalled level of safety. Having smaller group sizes brings a lot of advantages, including better leader to client ratios, reduced environmental impact and stronger team dynamics. As a travel company, we’ve always held our responsibility to the planet and our communities to such a high regard. We solidified our commitment as a business to being a force for good in January 2021 when we became a certified B Corporation! Our goal is to help people explore the world and experience life-changing adventures in the safest way possible. We are passionate about protecting the planet and improving the lives of those we meet along the way.

The single best thing about climbing Kilimanjaro in February?

You won’t be in Ireland in February. 😂

We have availability on our 11th–20th February Kilimanjaro expedition, which means you’ve got five months to get yourself ready.

Skip a bit of the Irish winter, climb the highest mountain in Africa and have the experience of a lifetime.

What are you waiting for?

Get in touch today and let’s get you to the Roof of Africa. 🏔️

Sometimes Nepal gets all the attention when we talk about the Himalayas. But there’s a whole lot more to explore.

We ran our first trip to Ladakh back in 2007, and it’s been a firm favourite ever since. The culture is completely unique, the landscapes are epic, and our route through the Markha Valley is one of the best treks in the Indian Himalayas.

And then there’s the objective. Kang Yatse II, standing at 6,250m.

It’s a serious challenge, with a big summit day on snow, but it’s also a brilliant introduction to higher-altitude mountaineering. For anyone who’s done something like Kilimanjaro and is wondering what comes next, or who has Aconcagua on the horizon, Kang Yatse II is a fantastic stepping stone.

Interested? Drop us a message and we’ll tell you all about it.

A huge congratulations to our Kenya Tri Adventure team on reaching the summit of Mt Kenya yesterday!

They’re on the bikes today, followed by a wildlife safari tonight and tomorrow morning, before finishing the adventure with white-water rafting on Friday.

This is one of our most action-packed and diverse trips. We have very limited availability each year, so get in touch for more details!

Most people come for Machu Picchu.

But one of the highlights of the journey is the time spent in Cusco.

Before setting off deep into the Peruvian Andes on our trek to Choquequirao and Machu Picchu, you’ll spend 2 days exploring one of South America’s most fascinating cities.

🏛 Wander through centuries-old plazas and churches

🎭 Experience colourful local festivals and traditions

🦙 Meet the locals (and a few llamas)

🍽 Enjoy incredible Peruvian food

⛰ Acclimatise gradually to the altitude before the trek

Cusco isn’t just a stopover. It’s an essential part of the adventure.

Have you been? What was your favourite part?

What an effort by Jam McManus 🥳

Looking at James McManus tracker map (Irish times), he set out from Camp 3 at 12:25pm on 19th May, reaching the summit at 08:37am on 20th May (20 hours), then down to Camp 2 by 17:54pm on 20th May.

That's a 29 hour summit day... with no bottled oxygen!!! 🤯
