Established in 2007, Earth’s Edge is a small business based in Dublin, Ireland. We offer high altitude trekking, mountaineering, and our signature tri-adventure expeditions in some of the most stunning locations in the world. We are the only company in the world that have an expedition leader and doctor on all expeditions while keeping group sizes sustainably small. Having an expedition leader and

doctor allows us to deliver an unrivalled level of safety. Having smaller group sizes brings a lot of advantages, including better leader to client ratios, reduced environmental impact and stronger team dynamics. As a travel company, we’ve always held our responsibility to the planet and our communities to such a high regard. We solidified our commitment as a business to being a force for good in January 2021 when we became a certified B Corporation! Our goal is to help people explore the world and experience life-changing adventures in the safest way possible. We are passionate about protecting the planet and improving the lives of those we meet along the way.

What an effort by Jam McManus 🥳

Looking at James McManus tracker map (Irish times), he set out from Camp 3 at 12:25pm on 19th May, reaching the summit at 08:37am on 20th May (20 hours), then down to Camp 2 by 17:54pm on 20th May.

That's a 29 hour summit day... with no bottled oxygen!!! 🤯

James McManus | Lhotse Summit Success | No O2 | 8,516m 🇮🇪

20th May 2026

James has successfully reached the summit of Lhotse (8,516m) without supplementary oxygen, the first Irish person to do so!

An extraordinary achievement built on years of training, discipline, resilience and focus. We are absolutely buzzing for him and could not be prouder.

Now for a safe descent back down the mountain and into thicker air.

Gwan Jam!

A huge thanks to everyone who gave us feedback on our cap design, yellow was the clear winner! 💛🥇

By way of saying thanks to our wonderful community, anyone who books a trip between now and the end of May, we will not only send you a yellow cap but a blue and black one too! 💙🖤

A special mention to Sabastian the horse for modelling the hat. Sabastian received a gratitude (Hay) for his efforts.

Tony joined our Everest Base Camp expedition this March, and it left a lasting impression.

“Our team bonded right from the start… We were cared for like family…. Flawlessly organised and filled with heart…. I’m an Earth’s Edge fan for life.”

We always love hearing how our groups get on and this is exactly why.

In the end, it’s the people that make the experience truly meaningful 🥰

Tour du Mont Blanc. 🇫🇷🇮🇹🇨🇭

One of the world’s great multi-day treks, and for good reason.

10 days in the Alps, crossing three countries and taking in some of the best scenery out there.

Big views. High mountain passes. Wildflower meadows. A great group and plenty of craic along the way. (Oh, and did we mention the food? The picnic lunch on slide 5 is enough to sell it to us! 🤤)

👉 2027 date just added - only 10 spaces left!

If it’s been on your list for a while, this is your sign.

Meet Dawa, who joined our team last year and has quickly become a cornerstone of our expeditions.

Dawa leads many of our climbing trips and supports a number of our trekking journeys. His experience in the high mountains is exceptional, with 10 summits of Everest and multiple ascents of Cho Oyu, Manaslu, Ama Dablam, Himlung Himal, and Baruntse, along with hundreds of climbs on 6,000m peaks.

He is also the sole survivor of the 2014 Everest disaster, showing extraordinary resilience after sustaining multiple injuries.

Dawa is a highly skilled guide with a deep passion for the mountains and a genuine commitment to sharing his knowledge with everyone he meets.

We are proud to have him as part of the Earth’s Edge family ❤️❤️❤️

Our Three Passes Trek is underway. This is one of the best trips you can do in the Khumbu. It takes you off the main EBC trail for extended periods, offering a fully immersive experience.

It’s a big step up from the EBC trek, with more time spent above 4,800 m and plenty of long, demanding days.

If you want to see the region but take on something more challenging than EBC, this is it.
