Under the Stars: A Bedouin Desert Experience

We started the afternoon with warm drinks and a live Zarb meat slow-cooked underground, Bedouin style.

A short donkey ride brought joy to the group, some rode, others enjoyed the calm interaction.

Then, we took 4x4 jeeps deep into the stony desert, stopping mid-way to meet camels and glimpse authentic Bedouin life. Our journey ended with tea and silence at a breathtaking Dead Sea viewpoint.

Back at the private camp, we shared a traditional Zarb dinner pulled straight from the earth.

As night fell, we sat around the fire under a sky full of stars, enjoying traditional Bedouin rhythms, learning local dance, and sharing stories. A night of connection, warmth, and unforgettable memories.

Walking the Green Line
This weekend, we followed the 1949 Green Line that once divided Jerusalem — exploring how it shaped neighborhoods, daily life, and stories still present today.
We learned which gates people used during the divided years, how roads shaped movement, and how history continues to live in the streets.
During our break, we shared drinks and oriental sweets at a cozy local café — a simple stop that turned strangers into friends.
We reflected, asked questions, and walked with intention.
Because with Ahla Way, we don’t just pass through — we connect, explore, and belong.
Let’s keep walking together.

Ahla Way | Christian Quarter Experience
This weekend, we started our morning with a small and friendly group, exploring the heart of the Christian Quarter in Jerusalem’s Old City.
Guided by a local who lives and serves in the quarter, we experienced the rhythm of the city through authentic stops, each offering a taste of Jerusalem’s hospitality:
Fresh Ka’ak Bread, Manakish, Hummus, Falafel, Arabic Coffee, Fresh Juice, Arabic Ice Cream, and Sweets
Each break became more than just a stop, it was a shared moment, a table of strangers turning into a circle of conversation and connection.
We visited historic homes and community spaces, including the 700-year-old Santa House and a family home where we were warmly welcomed.
Throughout the markets, we met with local residents and shopkeepers — not for shopping, but to learn what these places offer and how our guests can return during their stay to support local artisans, join workshops, or simply enjoy.
From churches to courtyards, housing traditions to rooftop views, it was a walk of stories, encounters, and quiet beauty.

The Muslim Quarter Walking Trip

This weekend, we explored the Muslim Quarter of the Old City of Jerusalem with an amazing group of 13 participants who joined the Ahla Way Experience.

From the aroma of hot, fresh Ka’ak bread to the crunch of warm falafel, our journey started with taste and tradition. Led by a local guide who shared not only facts but also grew up in the very alleys we walked, the experience became deeply personal — stories, laughter, and insights unfolding with each step.

Along the way, we learned about the cultures, communities, and traditions that make this part of the city so rich in history and spirit. We also explored narrow streets, local markets, historic gates, and places of worship.

We climbed to a rooftop for a panoramic view, sipped tea, coffee, and fresh juice at a hidden local spot full of everyday life, and treated ourselves to Knafeh and Baklava in a lively market corner.

The walk wasn’t just about seeing places — it was about feeling connected, even if just for a moment.
