Trek, travel…taste – it’s time for Finjan to give you Israel Unfiltered. We are just two guys, both Licensed Tour Guides and Outdoor Specialists, who are here to make you experience Israel like an Israeli. From the deep canyons in Israel’s deserts to the country’s snow-capped northern peaks, Finjan will expose you to all sides of Israel while your senses do the rest. Let’s just say, we are here to make your life on social media look like the greatest adventure you or your friends have ever had. Well, we believe that pure travel bliss can only be fully achieved by drinking your fair share of coffee throughout the journey. Wherever we are, the Finjan is always by our side – ready to brew the finest grounds. Ah but wait, we still didn’t say what a Finjan is. The Finjan is the vassal we use to prepare our coffee. All across the Middle East, you will see this variation on a theme. So as we say, without the Finjan, there is no coffee, and without the coffee – there is no trek! There’s an old Bedouin proverb that goes like this: Coffee must be as dark as the night, sweet as a woman, strong like a man…and bitter like marriage. Autumn is just around the corner, and it’s time for our 11th Sukkot trek: 3 days of unfiltered desert in the amazing Ramon crater.

This year’s trek will feature the remote south- westerns reaches of the crater, a selection of sections of the Israel national trail, the Ramon circuit and other trails of exceptional natural beauty, highlighting the Ramon crater’s diversity of landscapes, colors, geology and wildlife.

Hiking is Intermediate level and is suitable for people without prior experience in hiking.

Logistics team will bring our camping gear each evening, allowing us to hike with a light daypack

Our 10th annual 3 days Sukkot trek in the Negev will happen on the 1-3rd of October (Thu- Sat)
The plan is always simple: 3 days of wild desert landscapes, 2 nights camping under the stars, logistics team to help us hiking with a light daypack, 100% unfiltered desert.

We're back from 4 days of Sinai's pure magic, high red granite mountains, cool desert pools, Bedouins gardens filled with amazing apricots, incredible hospitality of the Jibalaia tribe, snorkeling in the incredible reefs of Ras Muhammad, sleeping under the full moon to the sound of the red sea waves.
What a magical trip it was!
We will be back in September, hoping to go back to our day hikes.

Our annual 3 day trek deep in the Negev, featuring some of the most remote areas of the desert, ascent to Mt. Arif featuring the world's smallest erosional craters and the serenity of the open desert.

The Sea of Life: 2 Day Kayaking Trip along the Coasts of the Sea of Galilee

*A Finjan special* June 12-14th: A 2 day kayaking trip from Ginosar to the holy basin of Capernaum the nature reserve of Bethsaida and the eastern coasts of the sea of Galilee

Day 0: Thursday 12th:
Arriving to the Sea of Galilee in the evening , camping in a coast close to Ginosar.

Day 1 Friday 13th: the Holy basin of the Sea of Galilee
Very early wake up before dawn, loading the logistics vehicle, meeting our guide and packing our kayaks, coast of Hukkuk, Ayub’s hidden waterfall, Churches of Tabgha, Capernaum, camping on Amnun bay, sharing a vegetarian dinner and camping there.

Day 2 Saturday 14th: the Jordan’s delta & Eastern coasts:
Amazing natural reserve of the valley of Bethsaida, coasts of the former border with Syria: Kinnar, Kursi & Nuqeib, ending the trip on late afternoon close to Kibbutz HaOnn.
No prior experience in Kayaking is required, but please notice it is still a physicly demanding trip rowing for 2 full days.
To keep things fun and in good pace the group will be small this time

Trip cost is 1650NIS preferably payed by Bit, Paybox or bank transfer, PayPal is also available if other options are not valid.

Just a day before the Passover meal, it's a good time for a good day hike in the forest.
Next Friday (April 11th) we will be heading to mt. Carmel for a short yet intense hike, on a beautiful forest trail, scrambling through boulders and dry waterfalls, a true hiker's playground!

Our first ever off- trail multi day hike!
The Marzaba area of the Negev is a remote piece of desert, without any historical accounts, or marked trails, it is a land of incredible beauty, forgotten springs and pools, and ancient and nameless trails
For more than a decade we were exploring this area, uncovering its many secrets.
For the first time ever we will share this land with our hikers
We will be accompanied by a Bedouin logistics team, building a camp to return to each evening, allowing us to hike with minimal weight on our backs.

Down Leopard's Canyon: A 2 Day Backpacking Trek
On the 21-22nd of February we'll be heading to the Judean desert for two full days of backpacking, from Arad down to the Dead Sea.
The Ze'elim stream holds many secrets, and we will explore some of the less known paths, high above deep canyons, hidden springs, massive boulders and magnificent views.

Exciting desert day hike on Friday December 20th:
A mighty canyon & a seemingly impossible trail!

On this hike we will traverse the mighty canyon of Hatira, descending down from the Yamin waterholes via the ancient Yamin ascent explore the deep canyon of Hatira and climb up using the legendary Palmach ascent using series of ladders, hand rails, and cables this part of the canyon was considered impassable before the 1944 journey of the Palmach, known from then on as Naqb el Yahood (the trail of the Jews), from there we will hike to Ein Yorke’am pools, and depending on our time may climb steeply to the Big Fin on the crest of the large crater, finally descending to the colored sandstone rocks of the large crater.

The trail requires climbing using ladders, hand rails and cabels, walking on the edge of a cliff and is not suitable for people with height vertigo.
