השבוע, אחרי תקופה ארוכה שלא הדרכתי בירושלים, היתה לי הדרכה בשוק מחנה יהודה. תמיד קצת נרתעתי מלהדריך ישראלים, אבל עכשיו צריך להתאים לנסיבות, ויפעת יערי (שאני משום מה לא מצליחה לתייג כאן...) פנתה אלי בבקשה לסיור בשוק עבור המשפחה המקסימה שלה. ותכלס? ממש ממש נהניתי. התחלנו עם משחק "המירוץ למיליון" עם משימות בשוק, שהיה ממש כיף לכל הגילאים (אפילו לסבתא!), והמשכנו לסיור טעימות עם מגוון של מאכלים שונים ומשונים. היה טעים, כייפי ובמיוחד עשה לי חשק לעוד! יש משהו ממש מיוחד בלהדריך דוקא אנשים שגדלו כאן ומכירים יותר, זה מעניין, זה מוביל לעומקים אחרים וזה פשוט כיף.
אז אם גם אתם רוצים סיור חווייתי בשוק או בכל מקום אחר בירושלים (העיר העתיקה, נחלאות, עין כרם) למשפחות, זוגות, חברים, לחגוג יום הולדת או סתם ליום כיף- מוזמנים לפנות אלי!

שלום!
אני שיר, ובזמנים כתיקונם אני מורת דרך. אני גם מוזיקאית, ואוהבת לרקוד ולשיר ולטייל ולהיות בטבע ועוד כל מיני דברים, אבל הפרנסה שלי היא הדרכת טיולים. בעיקר אני מתעסקת בתיירות חינוכית (תגלית וכאלה) אבל גם מדריכה משפחות וקבוצות שונות ומגוונות של תיירים. לפני קצת יותר מחצי שנה עברתי מירושלים למצפה רמון היפהפיה ללמוד מוזיקה ולנשום קצת מדבר, אבל עדיין רוב העבודה שלי התרכזה באזור ירושלים וצפונה.
כמו שכולם יודעים זו לא התקופה הכי מזהירה ואופטימית למי שמתעסק בתיירות ובמיוחד לעצמאיים שבינינו. יעני אין לנו הכנסות כרגע, האבטלה היא סוג של בדיחה גרועה והעתיד מאוד לא ברור.
אבל לא באתי לכתוב פוסט מתבכיין אלא להפך- אני מתגעגעת להדרכות, בא לי לעבוד, אני עובדת ממש בימים אלו על פרויקט תיירותי מגניב במצפה שאולי אקדיש לו פוסט אחר בקרוב, אבל אני גם ממש מתגעגעת להדרכות בירושלים. ובתכלס אני מבקרת בירושלים יחסית הרבה, וזאת עיר כל כך מיוחדת שאנשים באים מכל העולם כדי לחוות ולראות, היא חשובה בכל כך הרבה דתות, תרבויות ומסורות והיא נמצאת ממש כאן. ותכלס יש המון ישראלים שבקושי מכירים אותה, או שההיכרות שלהם איתה מסתכמת בכותל המערבי ובשוק מחנה יהודה. ויש בה כל כך הרבה!!!
אפילו סטודנטים שגרים בירושלים לרוב נשארים בגבולות נחלאות- השוק- גבעת רם ולא ממש מגיעים מזרחה ממרכז העיר.
בקיצור מה שאני באה להגיד זה שבא לי להדריך בירושלים ולחשוף את הקסם של העיר הזאת בפניכם, להתנסות בלהדריך אותנו, אתכם, את הישראלים שבאים ומעוניינים לצאת קצת מהגבולות של הרובע היהודי ולהכיר את הרב גוניות המטורפת שיש לעיר הזאת להציע. וחוץ מזה וואלה זו אחלה הזדמנות לבקר במקומות שבדרך כלל מפוצצים בתיירים, ועכשיו אפשר לנוע בהם בחופשיות ובכיף :)
למי זה מתאים? למשפחות, זוגות, חברים, סטודנטים, אנשים שאוהבים תרבות, היסטוריה, בני אדם, צבעים ואוכל :)
אני הכי מתמחה בעיר העתיקה ובאזור נחלאות והשוק (גם סיורים קולינריים וסדנאות בישול!)

Today I woke up super early for a short but comprehensive tour in Jerusalem with Mihir and AK from England. The old city was relatively empty (all the tourists concentrated in the enormous queues to the Temple Mount and the Holy tomb), so we enjoyed a fun and chill morning :) and btw the weather was perfect! (you have to mention the weather if you mention England).
I would wake up early every morning for mornings like this! (Ok maybe every other morning...)

so I came back from my Eurotrip (3 months ago, but who's counting...) and I'm slowly starting to get back to business. Recently I moved back to the most special city in the world (Jerusalem, if you had any doubts...).
My time abroad gave me a new perspective on my country and I am very happy to be back here.
everybody likes to complain, and here in Israel we don't miss things to complain about. But it is so important also to give thanks. The more that I travel, I become more and more grateful for the place that I came from.
During my travels, I met many new friends from different places in the world, and when I invited them to visit me in Israel usually I heard "maybe when the situation gets better, now it is too dangerous"... You see, the problem is that people usually watch the news, and the news always shows you only the bad things. I was actually surprised to see how many people were interested in the situation in Israel and how much they knew about it, or at least thought they knew...
Because they heard that there was a stabbing, and about Trump and his declaration, and about a rocket that fell down next to Gaza and about a protest and and so on. On the news Israel really sounds like a very dangerous and scary place.
But no one tells you about the amazing food here, about the welcoming people, the colorful and beautiful history, or about the fact that Israel is one of the safest places in the world to walk alone in the middle of the night, even as a woman.

In fact Israel is becoming more and more popular among tourists, and this year is the best year we have ever had regarding the number of tourists. I am so happy to meet more and more people who choose to put the news aside, to come and see for themselves what Israel is like. Most of them are very surprised by what they discover. It is very exciting for me to see the reaction of people when they first float in the dead sea, when they see the sea of Galilee and the Jordan river, when they hear the special story of how the city of Tel Aviv was established on the beach. But more then anything I love to see people when they arrive in the old city of Jerusalem.
In this one tiny square kilometer called the old city of Jerusalem, we have: the holiest place in the world for Judaism- the temple mount, the holiest place in the world for Christianity- The church of the holy sepulchre, and the third holiest place in the world for Muslims- El Aqsa mosque.
Jerusalem has been conquered 33 times over the ages, more than any other city in the world. The middle east has seen a lot of wars. But it also had seen some beautiful and peaceful times. This land is tired of wars.
I hope that the peace will stay with us. I hope that more and more people will get to discover this wonderful land.

After one year of showing tourists my beautiful country, I'm going to be a tourist myself! =]
I'm flying to England this week to start a new adventure, breathe some fresh air and fill myself with new power. After 3 years in Israel, it's about time to go on a journey.
I have a one-way ticket, but I promise I'll be back!

I would like to recommend on one of the most special restaurants I have ever been to. Yesterday my friend Adi Sholev came to visit me in my new home in Jerusalem, and we decided to have lunch in the Ethiopian restaurant Habesh חבש, next to Mahane Yehuda market, in Messiah Brocof Street 5, Jerusalem. We entered to the place after we walked in the crowded streets of the market and felt like we landed on a different planet. The place is quite and chill and the mix between the Jerusalem stone and the Ethiopian atmosphere and decoration create something very unique that you can find only in this crazy city.
In the restaurant they have no menu, only a vegan dish and a meat dish. Adi took the meat and I took the vegan. The best word to describe this meal is- experience. The Ethiopian flavors are so different from any other food that I know and they are delicious. The dish was so big that we couldn't finish our plates, even though we really wanted...
I want all the people that I love to come with me to this restaurant, and I guess this is the best test for a place =]
