What more fitting a date than Tu B'Shvat 🌳🌴 - the Jewish equivalent of Arbor Day - to announce that today I started a job at Taglit-Birthright Israel 🪬 as Sustainability and Impact Coordinator!

I am very excited to start this role - it really feels like coming full circle, since my first time in Israel was as a Birthright participant back in 2013. This led me to make Aliyah (immigrating to Israel) - celebrating my 10-year Aliyah anniversary just last week! - and inspired me to eventually become a Tour Educator with Taglit-Birthright.

In the past two-and-a-half years, tourism was deeply affected in Israel, so I found myself looking for a new direction. In September 2024, I participated in a continuing education course for Birthright Tour Educators about sustainability, which opened my eyes to the idea that this could be a viable career path. I decided to enroll in a masters degree program in Social and Environmental Sustainability at the University of Haifa with the Kayma Center. I am proud to say that I completed my M.A. in January as well!

I am very much looking forward to this next chapter. 🌱
