When the conflict between Israel and Iran began, our Chabad of Tri-Valley group with Rabbi Raleigh Resnick was in the midst of an unforgettable 8-day Israel experience, celebrating the Bar Mitzvah of Eitan Jontof-Hunter.

The group truly experienced what it means to be Israeli. They experienced rocket alerts, gathered in the safe-room and tuned into the news as all Israelis did, and they also encountered great strength, unity and national pride. There were many itinerary adjustments but as much as they could they continued to see and experience Israel with their amazing tour guide Itzik Yanai.

In a moment when Jewish history is literally unfolding before their eyes, they were here to be a part of it. For this group, the journey became much more than a trip. It was a powerful reminder of who we are as a people, and an experience of the beautiful land we are so lucky to call home.

Over 60 8th graders from School just wrapped up an unforgettable journey through Israel! Their week was filled with powerful moments including exploring the mystical Tzfat, climbing Masada, floating in the Dead Sea, visiting deeply meaningful sites like Yad Vashem and Har Herzl and much more.

They connected with inspiring Israelis, including artists in the north and residents of Kibbutz Nir Oz, and even had the privilege of watching the final rehearsal of the Jerusalem Youth Chorus—a moving program that brings together Israeli and Palestinian teens through music and dialogue.

It was a week of learning, reflection, service, and connection, an experience that left a lasting impact on everyone involved. Thank you for joining us in Israel!

We just wrapped up an unforgettable 10-day journey through Israel with Congregation Bnai Amoona! 🇮🇱

From exploring Jerusalem’s Old City to the energy of Tel Aviv and standing in solidarity at the Gaza Envelope, this was more than a tour; it was a meaningful connection to the land and people of Israel.

We were honoured to share powerful days during Yom HaShoah, Yom HaZikaron, and the joyful celebration of Yom HaAtzmaut. What a special time to be here — to reflect, to remember, and to celebrate with Am Yisrael.
