הגיע הזמן לבקר בעוטף עזה. השתתפתי בהשתלמות למחנכי תגלית. בנסיעה הרגשתי את הכאב והצמיחה עולים מהאדמה. בכל אתר נחשפתי לשילוב מטורף של רשע, טוב, אופל, אור, טרגדיה, תקווה, גבורה, ניסים, סבל ואהבה. אני מעריך ומודה לכל אלה שמסרו את נשמתם, במעשי גבורה או בחיי אהבה, ולאלה שעוד איתנו שגילו גבורה ובוחרים להמשיך לחיות ולצמוח.
הביקור היה מטלטל מאוד אז הלכתי על הטיילת בתל אביב בשקיעה לעבד ולהרגע. סיימתי בהדלקת נרות בכיכר דיזנגוף עם הקדשה שכתבתי.

Happy Tu bShvat, the Jewish new year for the trees! The carob pod I am chewing in this picture grew on the tree behind me and is one of the fruits of the land of Israel traditionally eaten today. In fact, my last name, Bokser, means carob in Yiddish. Maybe my ancestor was an importer of carob for Tu bShvat!
