As Shavuot approaches, you are invited to rediscover the ancient Pilgrims’ Road in Jerusalem as more than an archaeological wonder. It is a living symbol of unity, ascent, and shared purpose. Tracing the path from the Pool of Siloam up toward the Temple Mount, explore how this physical journey embodied the spiritual heartbeat of Shavuot, when men, women, and even children ascended together bearing first fruits in gratitude and devotion. With uneven steps designed to slow the walker and Psalms of Ascent echoing along the way, the road becomes a metaphor for reflection, preparation, and national togetherness. Layered with history, from bustling marketplaces to hidden drainage channels used during the Roman destruction, the Pilgrims’ Road reminds us that Jerusalem has always been a place where many become one. As we prepare for Shavuot, this ancient path calls us to walk thoughtfully, carry our own offerings of hope, and renew our longing for unity.
