Before we get started I want to introduce myself. My name is Arky Staiman… Arky? It’s my nickname, my real name is Aaron but you can call me, (well more like read me), Arky. A little bit about myself; I was born and raised in Baltimore, Md. in the United States and there I attended Beth Tfiloh High School until I graduated. I spent the next year of my life in Yeshivat Lev Hatorah in Ramat Beit She

mesh and then decided to make Aliya (move to Israel) and join the Hesder program in Yeshivat Otniel, a program based on the ideal of combining learning Torah and serving in the army. After my service as a Paratrooper in the 890th Brigade, I returned to Yeshiva and married my best friend, Avigail Kranzler. We live in Tekoa, in the Eastern Gush Etzion, I am pursuing my dream of being a tour guide throughout Israel and spreading the love and connection between the Jewish people and the Jewish homeland

My love for Israel began with my Bar Mitzvah which I decided to have in Israel. Despite the bad food, (for this 13 year-old American, hummus, matbucha, and some eggplant wasn’t considered yummy) and not knowing most of the people there, it was a life-changing event which spurred a deep interest and bond with Israel. Everyone has their own picture of what Israel is before their first trip, but for me Israel looked like the Sahara Desert with houses made of stones from the Western Wall. Unfortunately for some, this Alladin-like vision of Israel can continue way past childhood. So therefore I entered this field so I can be your magic carpet ride throughout Israel. The tours are intended for all ages from children to retirees, for all levels of knowledge about Israel, from the “first time in Israel” people to the “I’ve gone everywhere already” people (I’ve been both). Its purpose is to give insights and awaken the Curious George in each one of us to the many different facets of the beautiful Land of Israel. I will discuss some of the many different faces of Israel whether it be religious, historical, demographical, geological, political, and even just the plain “cool.” The “wow”’s of this country are endless and for me to take a part in the dropping of your jaws is a great honor and I hope that you stick with me throughout our process together in discovering “the land which I will show you” (Genesis 12:1).

Going to Jordan as a Jew, means seeing things with a lense that is a bit different than the average tourists, seeing things in terms of how it relates to us and our past. The spices that were brought into the Holy of Holies on Yom Kippur weren’t all from Israel and we relied on nations around us, nations dwelling in the Biblical Edomite to supply us with caravans of spices to trade with. This nation, the Nabateans were expert caravan traders and due to them, we had our service in the Temple, and their capital was Petra

Ok, so do I believe every tradition of every place I see is the actual original place from the Bible? Do I think that a rock with a spring next to it in the middle of the desert in Jordan must be the rock that Moses hit and water came out?

No

But you know what is cool. Arab Bedouins in the middle of a desert 1000s of years after Moses was gone see a rock in the middle of the desert where the children of Israel once traveled and their first thought was: “oh this must be the rock that Moshe hit”. Moshe and the Torahs impact is so strong that a random Arab village is name Wadi Musa and a random rock with water coming out of it must be the rock of Moses! That is soooo cool! Moshe changed the world forever, the Torah changed the whole world forever, the story of the hitting of the rock changed everything, to the point where a rock with water coming out of it must be his rock. We don’t always see it but our entire world around us was shaped by stories from the Torah, it’s our job to see it (or maybe drink it, in this case)

One of the absurd pro pali claims is that all of the artifacts found in Israel that prove Jews are indigenous to Judea and Samaria and Israel is all just made up as part of Israeli propaganda to try and legitimize the Jewish state. So therefore this fascinating archeological map of Israel with places like Judea and Bet El and Hevron must be fabricated by Israeli archeologists right? Well that’s awkward, because this map is in Jordan where Jordanian archeologists are preserving and maintaining clear proof of Israel’s existence in the land of Israel before Islam was even born.

Moshe was the greatest role model a Jew can have, and as a role model for us he showed us what the land of Israel meant to him and what it should mean to us. 515 times he begged Hashem to let him in. 514 times that he was told no, and he still tried. What would he say about us now? How every Jew has the ability to with a click of a button (or a few) walk with their two feet on this Holy Land. I feel your pain Moshe, but I also want you to be so proud of where your people are today.

So many people ask me how I go to the Temple Mount?

Is it allowed? Is it open? How do I get pure enough to go??

I realized it’s not about a lack of desire to go up… just people have no idea how… so here’s where I come in…

A weekly tour in English according to Halacha, in purity for inspiration and prayer on Har Habayit, for EVERYONE!

We will guide you through the process of how to become pure, where to walk, how to bow in order to get a true experience connecting to the Divine Presence

The goal of this initiative is simple but revolutionary:

👉 To place Har HaBayit back into the consciousness of the Jewish people.

👉 To normalize that just like you go to the Kotel for Shacharit, you go up to Har HaBayit for a meaningful tour

👉 To create a consistent, professional, open-to-the-public English tour once a week — same day, same time — led on rotation by amazing guides

👉 And most importantly — to give Jews the opportunity to connect to Hashem on a deeper level in the place of utmost holiness in the world

Just found out we’re getting released from the army for this round of reserves. The thoughts begin to rush in

How will I support my family now with no tourism?

What will I find meaningful to do when I go back?

How do we go from defending my country to working a regular job?

How long will it take to go from soldier to civilian?

How long before my kids really feel like they have their Abba back?

Maybe it’s better to stick with the uncomfortable army life that I know than step into the unknown?

But every soldier has to remember that we aren’t meant to be out in the battlefield, we are meant to be at home and at work, at the playground and at the dance recitals and the soccer games. We aren’t meant to be away from REAL life. So it may take time to adjust but it’s adjusting to our real self

I am personally forever grateful to Uriah and his team for sacrificing their lives for us

That is the power of this nation, the willingness to give everything up for the greater good, for the people of Israel for the Land of Israel

The mission to retrieve the Bibas family wasn’t a success but their bravery lives in us still today

Would you put yourself in danger for a stranger?
Would you willingly put yourself life on the line for others?

Tzaraat (Leaprosy) is a wake up call that we can’t bury and hide our own struggles, our own shortcomings. If we don’t try and be better about speaking badly about others, it will spread to our house, our kids, our family our stuff.
Control it now, deal with it now and it won’t spread
