my son Mordechai ( named after my father Motti = Mordechai in Hebrew).
He got his sweet English from the sweet year we had recently lived in Cambridge Massachusetts (And he can even spell Massachusetts..!).

What time is it?

This is the time to come and fulfill your dream.

This is the time to come and see.

The Bible gives us this beautiful picture:
“Every man under his vine and under his fig tree.”

Here on the sign it says First Kings 5:5 — that’s the Hebrew Bible numbering. In your English Bible, you'll find it in First Kings 4:25.

It's a biblical picture of peace — of people living safely and quietly after a time of strife.

And we see this again and again in the Bible. The children of Israel have their challenges—with the Philistines, with the Midianites, with the Chicalabumba-mites... all sorts of -mites.

But the Lord is always mightier.

And after the strife, praise the Lord, He gives His people times of peace—each under his vine and under his fig tree.

This is the time to come and see.

Look around.

This is how quiet it is here this morning.

I'm walking in the park in Tel Aviv-Jaffa, and this is what it feels like. This is what it sounds like.

People walking their dogs. People jogging. People simply going about their morning.

So may the Lord bless you and protect you.
May He shine His face upon you and give you peace.

And may you soon come and walk together with us in this amazing Land of the Bible.
