The Promised Mediator of Yisrael
From the beginning, Yisrael was chosen to be a nation set apart for the glory of YHVH. Yet throughout the Scripture and the Prophets, it is evident that a mediator was always needed between the people and the Most High. Not because YHVH is distant, but because His holiness is overwhelming and His voice too powerful for fallen man to bear directly.
When the people stood at Mount Sinai and heard the voice of YHVH, they trembled with fear and begged that He no longer speak to them directly, but rather through Moshe. And so, YHVH appointed Moshe to serve as a mediator , a go-between who would speak His words and intercede on behalf of the people.
Exodus 20:19
"You speak with us, and we will hear. But let not YHVH speak with us, lest we die."
Deuteronomy 5:5
"I stood between YHVH and you at that time, to declare to you the word of YHVH."
This established a divine pattern: a righteous man interceding between Holy YHVH and His people. Later, the high priest would fulfill this role yearly on Yom Kippur, entering the Most Set-Apart Place to make atonement for the nation.
Yet even Moshe, as great as he was, pointed forward to another mediator.
Deuteronomy 18:18
"I will raise up for them a Prophet like you from among their brothers. I will put My words in His mouth, and He shall speak to them all that I command Him."
This coming Prophet, like Moshe, would carry the authority of YHVH's own words. The future mediator would not come with a new faith or foreign teachings, but would fulfill the Scripture and speak only what YHVH gave Him.
The Prophets foretold that this Faithful Servant would not only teach but suffer, be rejected, and even bear the sins of the people.
Isaiah 53:3–5
"He was despised and rejected by men, a Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief… He was pierced for our transgressions, crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon Him, and by His wounds we are healed."
This Servant would be silent before His accusers, cut off from the land of the living, yet not for His own wrongdoing. He would be buried with the rich, yet justified many by His knowledge.
Isaiah 53:11
"My righteous Servant shall justify many, for He shall bear their iniquities."
Isaiah 53:12
"He poured out His soul unto death… and bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors."
Furthermore, the prophet Zechariah records a moment of deep mourning and recognition in the last days
Zechariah 12:10
"They will look upon Me whom they have pierced; they will mourn for Him as one mourns for an only son."
Who is this figure pierced, mourned for as a firstborn, yet referred to by YHVH as "Me"? It is a mystery that reaches beyond natural understanding, a divine figure, yet revealed in flesh, rejected, yet destined to be received again in glory.
Throughout the Scriptures, the cry of the people has been for deliverance, forgiveness, and reconciliation. The Scripture has shown the cost of sin. The Prophets have spoken of One who will carry that cost on behalf of many. The Writings point to a coming King, Priest, and Prophet, who will both suffer and reign. This One is the anointed of YHVH, the promised Mashiach. In His role, He serves as Mediator between YHVH and man not to replace YHVH, nor to become another deity, but to fulfill what was written: to stand in the gap, to intercede, and to reconcile. Not with animal blood, but by offering His own life as the ultimate korban for sin, once for all.
The New Testament confirms and fulfills this pattern
1 Timothy 2:5
"For there is one Elohiym and one Mediator between YHVH and men, the Man Messiah Yeshua."
Hebrews 7:25
"He is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to YHVH through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them."
Hebrews 8:6
"But now he has obtained a more excellent ministry, inasmuch as he is also Mediator of a better covenant, which was established on better promises."
This is why many who follow the Messiah, close their prayer requests in Yeshua’s name. In doing so it is not as a ritual, but because it is through Yeshua HaMashiach acting as mediator, savior, son of the most High who received authority through his obedience, merit, and suffering. Through his intercession that they are able to approach YHVH with holiness through his purest and righteousness. Yeshua HaMashiach is able to stand before YHVH, sitting at His right hand.
John 14:13
"Whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son."
John 16:23
"Truly, truly, I say to you, whatever you ask of the Father in my name, He will give it to you."
His name is not a replacement for the Father's name but a revelation of H
his mission and character.
Philippians 2:9–11
"YHVH has highly exalted him and given him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Yeshua every knee should bow… and every tongue should confess that Yeshua the Messiah is master, to the glory of YHVH the Father."
This is not a foreign belief. It is not another god. It is the unfolding of YHVH’s redemptive plan spoken by the Torah, revealed in the Prophets, and fulfilled in the Messiah.
The invitation remains open, to return to YHVH, to embrace the promised Redeemer, and to walk in the covenant made new through the blood of the righteous One.
Jeremiah 31:31
"Behold, the days are coming, says YHVH, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Yisrael and with the house of Yudah."
Hebrews 9:15
"For this reason He is the Mediator of the new covenant, by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions under the first covenant."
The Redeemer has come for our mediator to intercedes. The door remains open and we know, "Blessed are those who recognize the day of their visitation"
Isaiah 52:13
“Behold, My Servant shall act wisely; He shall be high and lifted up, and shall be exalted.”
When Yeshua declared “It is finished” on the ex*****on stake (cross), He was not simply speaking of his physical suffering coming to an end. Yeshua was confirming that the mission given by the Father was completed. The work of redemption, the payment for sin, and the fulfillment of prophecy were all accomplished.
John 19:30
“So when Yeshua had received the sour wine, He said, ‘It is finished!’ And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.”
Yeshua made the full payment. The task is completed. The obligation has been fulfilled as YHVH requested.
No other human is as pure as Yeshua and therefore the Atonement made, is from the purest form.
Yeshua’s declaration on the tree is the legal confirmation in the spiritual past. Yeshua’s ex*****on on the tree not only fulfills the atoning sacrifice, but restores access to what was lost in Gan Eden, the Tree of Life.
In Genesis 2:9, we see that Hashem planted two special trees in the midst of the garden:
The Tree of Life and The Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil.
Adam and Chavvah (Eve) were free to eat from the Tree of Life, but were commanded not to eat from the other.
Genesis 2:17
“But of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it, you shall surely die.”
This death is a spiritual death, turning away from the truth.
When they chose the wrong tree, they were cut off from the Tree of Life and cast out of the garden.
Genesis 3:24
“So He drove out the man… and placed cheruvim to guard the way to the Tree of Life.”
The Scriptures repeatedly call His ex*****on place a “tree” not just a cross:
Deuteronomy 21:23
“He who is hanged is accursed of YHVH.”
Galatians 3:13
“Messiah has redeemed us from the curse of the Torah, having become a curse for us for it is written, ‘Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree.’”
1 Peter 2:24
“He Himself bore our sins in His body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness…”
The very act of disobedience at the tree in Eden is reversed by obedience on the tree at Golgotha.
Yeshua not only died on a tree , he is the embodiment of the Tree of Life.
Proverbs 3:18
“Wisdom is a Tree of Life to those who take hold of her…”
And what is Yeshua called?
1 Corinthians 1:24
“Messiah, the power of Elohiym and the wisdom of YHVH.”
John 6:51
“I am the living bread which came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever…”
Revelation 2:7
“To him who overcomes I will give to eat from the Tree of Life, which is in the midst of the Paradise of YHVH.”
Through Yeshua, the way to the Tree of Life is reopened.
Yeshua became what Adam and Chavvah rejected , the source of eternal life, wisdom, obedience, and fellowship with Hashem.
Man chose the wrong tree, Messiah was nailed to the tree.
Due to disobedience brought a spiritual death. Yeshua's obedience brought life!
Even later in Scripture we find how YHVH dispirsed Yisrael into all the earth due to their disobedience.
They turned away from the Tree of Life and the garden was closed. The two edge sword fighting to keep the Holiness of YHVH pure. Cheruvim guarded the way.
When the Veil in the temple torn open (Matthew 27:51), YHVH made way for our salvation and redemption.
When Yeshua cried out, “It is finished,” he was not only completing the work of redemption but opening the way back to the Tree of Life. Through him, we eat the true fruit of righteousness, and live forever.
Revelation 22:14
“Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the Tree of Life…”
We need to constantly remind ourselves "The price for sin has been paid" (Isaiah 53:5), but we still need to repent and draw near.
Yeshua’s cursing of the fig tree was prophetic, acting and symbolizing unfruitful Yisrael and those who have the appearance of "religion" but lack the "truth" that is the fruit of righteousness.
Mark 11:13–14
“Seeing in the distance a fig tree in leaf, He went to find out if it had any fruit... When He reached it, He found nothing but leaves... Then He said to it, ‘May no one ever eat fruit from you again.’”
The fig tree often symbolizes Yisrael that rejecting the truth and the way.
Hosea 9:10
“I found Israel like grapes in the wilderness; I saw your fathers as the firstfruits on the fig tree in its first season…”
The cursed fig tree becomes a symbol of a generation rejecting their Messiah, outwardly "religious" but inwardly barren from the "Truth"
Yet there’s a mystery. Let's discover it.
Yeshua became the cursed fig tree for all Yisrael. Even those dispersed into the world. Those who mingled faith with religion.
Yeshua took upon himself the curse of barrenness, rejection, and judgment.
As the Righteous One, Yeshua bore the fate of the unfruitful, so that the barren soul might be redeemed and begin to bear fruit.
Galatians 3:13
"Messiah has redeemed us from the curse of the Torah, having become a curse for us…”
Let us have a look at yet another miracle. The Wine Mixed with Myrrh. A symbol of corrupted offerings. At His ex*****on, Yeshua was offered wine mixed with gall or myrrh, a strong, bitter, and fermented mixture.
Mark 15:23
“Then they gave Him wine mingled with myrrh to drink, but He did not take it.”
Please take note - " He did not take it!"
Why did He refuse it?
Fermented wine represents decay or corruption in contrast with the pure offering he is.
Torah forbade priests from drinking strong drink in service (Leviticus 10:9), and Yeshua, as our eternal High Priest, would not accept what would pollute the perfect sacrifice.
Isaiah 5:11
“Woe to those who rise early to run after strong drink...”
1 Corinthians 6:10
“Drunkards will not inherit the Kingdom of YHVH…”
Yeshua refused man's offering because his blood was the only acceptable, unfermented wine for redemption. The wine of man could not satisfy what the pure blood of Messiah would fulfill.
John 19:34
“But one of the soldiers pierced his side with a spear, and immediately blood and water came out.”
This is extremely prophetic!
Blood = Atonement, redemption, payment for sin (Leviticus 17:11)
Water = Washing, purification, the Ruach, new life (Ezekiel 36:25–27)
This double flow from Yeshua side is the birth of a renewed people, a bride formed like Chavvah from Adam’s side. Just as Adam slept and Chavvah came from his rib, so Messiah “slept” (died), and from His side came the redeemed Bride, washed in blood and water.
Ephesians 5:25–27
“Messiah loved the assembly and gave Himself for her… that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the Word.”
Yeshua, the Tree of Life, bore the curse of the barren fig tree.
He refused the wine of corruption, that He might offer the wine of the covenant. He was pierced, and from His side flowed the elements of new creation. In Him, judgment is absorbed, and eternal life is restored.
Matthew 26:28
“This is My blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.”
The miracle at Cana, turning water into wine is often misunderstood. Many assume Yeshua produced intoxicating wine. But when we look closely through Hebraic eyes, the deeper and purer meaning becomes much more clearer.
John 2:9–10
“When the master of the feast had tasted the water that had become wine, the headwaiter couldn’t figure out where such wine came from (even though the servants knew), and he called over the bridegroom in amazement. This wine is delectable. Why would you save the most exquisite fruit of the vine? A host would generally serve the good wine first and, when his inebriated guests don’t notice or care, he would serve the inferior wine. You have held back the best for last.
This was Yeshua’s first recorded miracle, and it took place at a wedding is a prophetic shadow of the marriage of the Lamb (Revelation 19:7).
He turned water (used for purification rituals) into new fruit of the vine a sign of spiritual transformation and the new creation.
2 Corinthians 5:17
“If anyone is in Messiah, he is a new creation…”
The old water jars (Torah cleansing) now overflow with living, joyful, and pure provision, the wine of His blood (Matthew 26:28).
The Word for “Wine” is Yayin (Hebrew) In Hebrew, “yayin” can refer to unfermented grape juice.
Yeshua would not give anything impure. As our High Priest, he would never violate Scripture, which warns priests not to drink fermented wine while ministering (Leviticus 10:9).
Yeshua’s role at the wedding is that of the Bridegroom and High Priest. Yeshua would only offer the purest form of the fruit of the vine.
This is consistent with Yeshua’s own words.
Matthew 26:29
“I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it new with you in My Father’s kingdom.”
“Fruit of the vine” is fresh grape juice, not fermented, a symbol of purity.
Fermentation refers to corruption in Scripture. Leaven (which causes fermentation) always symbolizes sin or pride (Exodus 12:15, Luke 12:1).
Fermented wine in excess causes drunkenness, which Scripture condemns (Proverbs 20:1, Isaiah 5:11, Galatians 5:21).
Therefore, it is highly consistent to understand Yeshua’s wine as new, sweet, unfermented grape juice, the true vine (John 15:1), not corrupted by age or fermentation.
Matthew 9:17
“Nor do they put new wine into old wineskins... but they put new wine into new wineskins, and both are preserved.”
New wine is the new covenant, new hearts, and new Spirit of faith. Old wine represents the corrupted traditions, lifeless religion.
At Cana, Yeshua was not just saving a wedding feast. He was announcing the beginning of a spiritual transformation. It will be the arrival of the Bridegroom and the outpouring of new wine, the Ruach and the Word in purity.
Yeshua did not offer fermented wine. Yeshua offered the pure fruit of the vine, symbolic of His own sinless blood. He did not come to intoxicate, but to cleanse and restore all to purity.
The miracle at Cana was a prophetic act, pointing to A new covenant of a spotless bride. A pure offering and restoration of joy and life through purity.
Psalm 34:8
“Taste and see that YHVH is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in Him.”
In Ezekiel 28, we read about the King of Tyre, but this passage clearly mirrors the nature of the serpent in Gan Eden:
Ezekiel 28:13-14
“You were in Eden, the garden of Elohiym… You were the anointed cherub that covers… You walked among the stones of fire.”
The serpent (Satan) acted as a counterfeit priest, using twisted words to pervert truth (Genesis 3:1). His words brought confusion. “Did Elohiym really say…?”
He stood between Chavvah and Elohiym, intercepting the command something only a priest would do in righteousness. But Chavvah listened to a corrupt mediator and so her spirit experienced death when it entered.
Luke 1:38
“Behold the servant of YHVH; let it be to me according to Your word.”
Unlike Chavvah, we find that the mother of Yeshua "Miryam" believed.
She submitted to the Ruach and became the vessel through whom the true Seed (Genesis 3:15) would come. She is the "Isha" - women.
She was a virgin (pure), fulfilling Isaiah 7:14: “The virgin shall conceive and bear a Son…”
Let us also take a moment to hear Yeshua’s beloved voice as mediator.
John 2:4 – “Woman (Isha), what does your concern have to do with Me?”
John 19:26 – “Woman, behold your son.”
Yeshua never called her "mother" in these significant moments, why?
Because Yeshua was not just her son, He is her Redeemer, the Seed she carried but did not author. By calling her “woman,” was not in a disrespectful way. Yeshua was referencing Genesis 3:15
“I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her Seed…”
Yeshua identifies Miryam as "woman" Isha, as the fulfillment of the promise given after the Fall.
This elevates Miryam’s release woman not as an object of worship, but as the set-apart vessel through whom YHVH brought redemption, reversing the curse brought through the first woman.
1 Corinthians 15:45
“The first man Adam became a living being; the last Adam is a life-giving Spirit.”
Romans 5:19
“For as by one woman’s disobedience many were made sinners, so also by the obedience of the one shall many be made righteous.”
The serpent acted as a false mediator in the Garden. Chavvah gave ear, and spiritual death entered.
YHVH, in mercy, chose a pure vessel. Miryam who submitted to the Word and carried the Seed of Life. She walked and followed him.
Yeshua called her “woman”, fulfilling Genesis 3:15, pointing to the restored woman, and a new creation.
Through Yeshua, the curse of the first woman is broken. The Tree of Life (Yeshua on the tree) stands where the serpent once spoke.
Revelation 12:1–5 – “A woman clothed with the sun… She bore a male Child who was to rule all nations…”
When we believe upon Yeshua as the Promised Seed and Mediator, we are not simply “joining a religion" but taking a step of "Faith".
Many religions rejects the baptism as they reject the truth, preventing their followers accepting what is pure.
We are entering into a new covenant, sealed by the Ruach HaKodesh, and born again into a new creation.
John 3:5–6
“Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of YHVH. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.”
Baptism is not just symbolic or a ritual, it is a declaration of a spiritual death and a new spiritual resurrection. We die to the old self as (the Adamic nature). We rise in newness of life through the power of the Ruach HaKodesh, being washed whiter than snow.
Romans 6:4
“Therefore we were buried with Him through immersion into death, that just as Messiah was raised from the dead... even so we also should walk in newness of life.”
Ezekiel 36:26–27
“I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you... I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes...”
Acts 2:38
“Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Yeshua HaMashiach for the forgiveness of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Ruach HaKodesh.”
Just as Adam received the breath of life and became a living being (Genesis 2:7), so now we who are born again in Yeshua, the Last Adam, receive the breath of the Spirit of YHVH, making us living stones in the spiritual house of YHVH. Chavvah listened to the serpent and died spiritually. Miryam listened to the Word of YHVH and became the vessel of Life. Yeshua, being born of her, died and rose again to give us the Ruach HaKodesh.
Now we enter the mikveh (baptism), declaring.
“I have died with Messiah and I now live by the power of His Spirit!”
Titus 3:5–6
“He saved us, not by works of righteousness we had done, but according to His mercy, through the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Ruach HaKodesh.”
2 Corinthians 5:17 –
“If anyone is in Messiah, he is a new creation; the old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”
This is the heavenly reversal of Eden’s tragedy. Accept Yeshua HaMashiach and be No longer separated by sin. We make a covenant that we are no longer bound to the serpent’s lies. We are filled with the Ruach HaKodesh, sealed as sons and daughters, awaiting the full redemption when we will be transformed into Heavenly bodies to see Him as He is (1 John 3:2).
Our Heavenly Father and Great I Am. Our Father, El Elyon, Elohiym of Abraham, Yitschaq, and Ya'aqov, we come before You with humbled hearts. We acknowledge that in the past we have believed lies, lived in confusion, and been bound by the deception that began in the Garden.
YHVH thank You for knowing it all, thank You that nothing is hidden from You. Father thank You that You are merciful, full of compassion and wisdom. You made a way for us through Your promised Seed, Yeshua HaMashiach to be forgiven and restored. Today we renounce the voice of the serpent and silence every lie that spoke death over our identity, our future, and our relationship with You. We choose the truth that Yeshua is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Forgive us, for every transgression and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Wash us in the blood of the Lamb, our Yeshua, the sinless One, who took our place on the tree. Let the power of Yeshua's finished work speak over every part of our lives: “It is finished!” It is done. We accept Your covenantal proposal, sealed by the sacrifice of Yeshua, And say Amein, let it be so in my life. We open our hearts, spirit and soul to receive Your Ruach HaKodesh.Breathe into us and make us Your new creation. Write Your Torah on our hearts. Restore to us the joy of salvation.
Our Heavenly Father we commit to walk in obedience, to be immersed in water as a sign of death to the old life. We embrace Your love, to rise up in the newness of life, clothed in righteousness, covered in the blood of the Lamb. Amein. It is done!
Father today as Your children we declare:
I am no longer a slave to confusion or shame.
I am a child of Elohiym, my Heavenly Father and Great I Am
I am part of the Bride being prepared for the return of the Bridegroom.
I am covered by Your covenant, sealed by the blood of our Messiah.
I believe in Yeshua HaMashiach, my Savior, Redeemer, King and my Eternal Mediator.
Amein and Amein.
Be blessed and stay blessed ⚘️
