Today’s family adventure follows the water rather than an ordinary hiking trail.

Ein Divsha lies between the Hula Valley and the slopes of the Golan Heights. The walk follows the cool stream toward the remains of an old flour mill once powered by the spring.

Water was directed through a raised channel, creating enough force to operate the mill and grind wheat into flour. The site was later restored with the help of a member of nearby Kibbutz Gonen.

It is a lovely family route combining shallow water, vegetation, local history, and beautiful northern scenery.

Would your family enjoy a hike where the trail runs through the water?

Think You Know Tel Aviv? These 10 Facts May Surprise You

Most people associate Tel Aviv with beaches, restaurants, nightlife, and modern city life, but its story is much richer.

Founded in 1909 beside ancient Jaffa, Tel Aviv became a new Hebrew city and later developed into one of Israel’s most important cultural and economic centers.

This video shares 10 interesting facts, from its Bauhaus architecture and first mayor, Meir Dizengoff, to the building where Israel’s independence was declared, its startup culture, bicycle lanes, and nonstop lifestyle.

How many of these facts did you already know?

Why Is This Tel Aviv Restaurant Called M25?

The name of this restaurant is actually a measurement.

Beside Carmel Market is a street that was once filled with butcher shops. One local butcher supplied his meat to excellent restaurants around Tel Aviv and eventually decided to cook it himself.

But the municipality would not allow the butcher shop and restaurant to operate in the same place. They had to be separated by at least 25 meters.

So he walked 25 meters down the street and opened M25.

Today, it is one of the most popular restaurants near Carmel Market—and getting a table is not always easy.

This is what I love about Tel Aviv: behind a restaurant name, a market stall, or a small side street, there is often a great local story.

Have you eaten at M25?

At Ein Gedi, the biblical story becomes part of the landscape.

David’s Waterfall is located along Nahal David, close to the Dead Sea. The trail passes flowing water, shaded areas, desert cliffs, and natural pools.

According to the biblical account, David sought refuge in the wilderness of Ein Gedi while fleeing from King Saul. When you visit, it becomes easier to understand why this area could provide both water and protection.

Ein Gedi is not only a beautiful nature reserve. It is also a place where geography helps explain history.

Have you ever visited a biblical site that made the story feel more real?

We walked deep into the dry Negev Desert and then this appeared.

Ein Akev is a natural desert spring hidden beneath the cliffs of Ramat HaNegev. After the heat, dust, and open trails, reaching cold water feels almost impossible.

We swam, rested beside the spring, and enjoyed the kind of simple desert experience that stays with you long after the hike is over.

The Negev may look empty, but it is full of hidden places like this.

Would you make the hike to reach this spring?
