With Cannes Film Festival in full swing, it’s only right that we share some of our favourite places to eat, sleep and explore along the Côte d’Azur.

Think legendary Riviera hotels, beach clubs reached by boat, understated seaside restaurants, and sun-drenched corners of the coastline where the world’s most discerning travellers return every summer.

From Cannes and Cap d’Antibes to Monaco and Saint-Tropez, explore the full guide on the RASK Journal: https://rasktravel.com/where-to-eat-sleep-explore-on-the-cote-dazur-during-cannes-film-festival/

If you travel often enough, you realise fairly quickly that luxury travel isn’t really about thread counts or whether a hotel has a marble bathroom anymore.

The difference is usually in the perspective behind the booking. Understanding how someone actually likes to travel. Knowing when a destination is right for them – and when it isn’t. Having people on the ground you trust. Recognising which experiences genuinely shape a trip, and which ones are probably best left to Instagram.

That’s a huge part of what we spend our time doing at RASK – travelling, researching, listening, refining, and staying close to the people and places shaping travel globally.

We’ve started sharing a little more of that world through the RASK Journal and our newsletter lately, for those who enjoy following along with the hotels, destinations, and ideas shaping how people travel now.

Orient Express has officially taken to the sea – and it’s not doing things by halves.

The new Orient Express Corinthian is the largest sailing yacht in the world, with its maiden voyage set to depart in June 2026 across the Mediterranean – from the French Riviera and Corsica to Sardinia, Capri, and the Italian coast – carrying just 110 guests, wind-powered sails, Michelin-led dining and itineraries that feel more like a series of perfectly timed moments than a cruise schedule.

We’ve just covered everything you need to know – the jaw-dropping design, onboard life, and the sailings we’re most excited about.

Safe to say… this one isn’t subtle.

The full story is now live on the RASK Journal: https://rasktravel.com/inside-the-orient-express-corinthian-sailing-yacht/

For more than a century, the name Orient Express has conjured images of lacquered wood, polished brass, white tablecloths and journeys where the experience of travelling mattered just as much as the destination itself. Now, that legacy is heading out to sea. Officially christened in France on 29 Apr...

May has always felt like one of the best times to travel. Things start opening up again, the weather settles into something you actually want to be in, and you’re not quite dealing with the pace that comes a few weeks later.

We’ve pulled together a few destinations that stand out for us right now – from the Cyclades to Peru and a few in between.

The full list is up on the RASK Journal: https://rasktravel.com/nine-of-the-loveliest-destinations-to-visit-in-may/

Where to travel in May: from Puglia and the French Riviera to Peru and the Cyclades, our guide to the best destinations for early summer.

Last-minute honeymoon? It actually happens more than you’d think.

Whilst most are planned months (sometimes years) in advance, we’re always happy to step in when timing’s a little tighter – and make sure it’s still the most insanely perfect trip of your life.

We recently sent a lovely couple to St Barths, staying at Blanc St-Barth – a brilliant choice for a honeymoon. It’s relaxed but polished, right on Flamands Beach, and feels private without ever being too quiet.

We can partner with their in-house team to organise some really special experiences – from days out on their private sailing yacht, to an afternoon for two at the brand-new Guerlain spa.

Whether it’s St Barths or somewhere completely different, we can make it happen – even at shorter notice.

Thank you so much for travelling RASK!

Who’s been watching Race Across the World? 🌎

We’re always a sucker for a good route, and this one feels a little more manageable than previous seasons – although that might just be because we know far too many exceptional hotels across the Mediterranean. Starting in Palermo, they’ve been making their way across southern Italy, before heading into Greece (Fiskardo included) and on towards Turkey.

If this season’s sparked ideas, we’d happily help you map out a similar island-hopping adventure (just with far less rushing).

Some of our favourite places to stop along the way: Puglia (with a base near Lecce), the Peloponnese (Costa Navarino or beyond), Athens (The Dolli 👀), Symi or Rhodes, and Bodrum (Six Senses Kaplankaya if you can).

Last month, I had the pleasure of being invited to Colombia with Accor Group as part of their HERA programme, recognising RASK as one of their top 30 global partners – what an honour!

The few days were split between Cartagena and Isla Barú – starting in the old town at Sofitel Legend Santa Clara, exploring the city, before heading out by yacht to Sofitel Barú. It was a great mix of time in the hotels, time with the Accor team, and celebrating alongside a small group of like-minded partners.

Really grateful to have been included, and so proud of the partnership we’ve built with Accor over the years. Thank you to the team for such a memorable few days ❤️

We’ll be sharing more from our trip to Colombia next week, including some of our must-visit hotels, so, if you haven’t signed up to our newsletter, you can do so here: https://rb.gy/rnpzo4

As we begin thinking about long, balmy summers, we couldn’t help but turn our attention to St Tropez – where, this month, the highly anticipated White Lotus Season 4 begins filming.

The setting? Airelles Saint-Tropez – a 19th-century château above Pampelonne that feels purpose-built for exactly this kind of drama.

We’ve taken a closer look at the hotel itself – what it’s actually like to stay there – along with Airelles’ next move, as they open their newest property in Venice.

Filming for The White Lotus Season 4 begins at Airelles Saint-Tropez. Inside the château – and what to know about the new Airelles opening in Venice.

Where are our RASK VIPs? 🇲🇽

On a stretch of coastline that most of the Riviera Maya forgot – or perhaps, was lucky enough to be left alone.

A lovely couple has checked into Hotel Esencia, once the private home of an Italian duchess, now something far rarer: a hotel that feels entirely its own. Jungle at your back, the pale sweep of Xpu-Ha bay in front, and very little in between.

There’s a rhythm to it. Coffee and pastries arrive quietly to your terrace. Mornings might start with yoga facing the sea, or a swim before the heat settles in. From there, it’s loose – a long lunch, the pool, the beach, or disappearing entirely into the 50 acres of gardens and jungle paths.

Food is taken seriously here without ever feeling heavy – a Yucatán kitchen with Mediterranean touches, a low-key omakase, a beef bar, fresh juices in the morning, mezcal as the sun drops.

It’s also one of the most awarded hotels in the region – Three Michelin Keys, five consecutive years of Forbes Five Stars – but none of that is what you notice first. What you feel is the space, the privacy, and the sense that everything has been thought through, then softened.

Thanks for travelling RASK!

Where Are Our RASK VIPs? 🇮🇳

A curious solo traveller has checked into Taj Hotels Taj Mahal Palace, Mumbai – a hotel that has stood at the gateway to the city since 1903 and recently earning a place on World’s 50 Best Hotels list.

Set overlooking the Gateway of India and the Arabian Sea, the location alone is hard to beat. But it’s the sense of history that really defines a stay here – corridors lined with artwork and antiques, sweeping staircases, and the feeling that an extraordinary number of stories have unfolded within these walls.

For solo travellers especially, it’s a wonderful base: central, characterful, and with that rare ability to feel both grand and genuinely welcoming.

Few hotels capture the spirit of a city quite like this one.

Thank you for travelling RASK.
