After a brief explanation about the history of the Holy City we start walking towards and along the wall of the Old City. We will enter the Old City through Yafo gate and continue to the Jewish Quarter in the shadow of the impressive Citadel of David. Wandering of the streets of the calming Jewish Quarter, a unique mixture of old and new buildings, ancient and modern history, passing the Hurva synagogue, a window to the life of the Orthodox Jews. Than we will do some time travel to the Roman period through the ancient Cardo until the breathtaking view on the holiest site for Jewish people: the Western Wall. Walking on the street, where Jewish pilgrims walked and marveled the magnificent Temple, where Jesus cleansed the holy place from the money changers. From there we will follow a few stations of the Via Dolorosa. Our last station in Via Dolorosa is the magnificent Holy Sepulcher, place of the Golgotha and the burial place of Jesus. During our walk you can’t miss the overwhelming colors, aromas and tastes of the bustling market , called shuq! Enjoy the bargain for some special treasures and souvenirs. We will finish the tour through the shuq and end at Yafo Gate. The private tour gives you all flexibility to add the sites you want, for instance Mount of Olives and Mount Zion.

Jerusalem Old City Tour
