Behind every meaningful journey is a lot of work long before the trip begins.

Last weekend, our team was at Westchester Reform Temple for a pre-trip orientation brunch for 40 travelers preparing for their journey to Poland, led by Rabbi Jonathan E. Blake and Senior Cantor Amanda Kleinman.

These gatherings are an important part of the experience, providing historical context, practical information, and the opportunity to begin building community before the journey even starts.

There are few moments in life as moving and emotional as a Bar or Bat Mitzvah. Now imagine four celebrations at once, beneath the Aron Kodesh (אָרוֹן קוֹדֶשׁ, “Holy Ark”) of the historic Libertad Synagogue in Buenos Aires.

Temple Kol Ami of Scottsdale, led by Rabbi Jeremy Schneider, created something their community will carry with them for a lifetime.
