Welcome to Nahal Qana!

In the Heart of the Samaria region we can find Nahal Qana!

Nahal Qana begins in a valley, south of the city of Nablus near the Arab town of Aqraba, and is one of the largest tributaries to the Yarkon and it spills into it near Hod Hasharon. Unfortunately the stream over there is polluted there due to sewage water.
During the biblical times, Nahal Qana was the border between the estates of the tribe of Ephraim and Menashe, sons of Joseph. and we can notice it today by the name of the settlements north of the wadi (Alfei Menashe) and south of it Yakir and Revava (by quotes from the bible).
The trail length is 5 km, and its back and forth only. The trail is full of springs and gardens, and many typical trees to the mediterranean region like elms and oaks and a lot of natural orchards, and even ancient ruins from the past.

It is such a wonderful trail, unknown for many tourists but it's definitely worth the visit!

Welcome to Ein Afek Nature reserve!

Ein afek is located near the city of Kiryat Bialik, not far away from Haifa and preserves the swamp life environment that has been lost in Israel for many decades. There are beautiful trails and bridges that are built over the swamps.

The beautiful swamp pathway is 2 km long and it leads us between the water pools that are surrounded by rich vegetation and a lot of water birds that live in the area.

Besides the rich environment, we can visit the ancient flour mill that is dated to the Crusaders times and enjoy both a short movie and exhibit and a beautiful view from the top of the building. We can even watch some buffalos, an animal that was extinct from Israel after the state was established and besides a small herd, some of them were transferred to Hula valley and Ein afek.

Welcome to Ein Avdat!

Magical oasis in the heart of the Negev desert in a deep white canyon of Nahal tzin. Ein Avdat is a group of 3 springs. Ein Maarif, Ein avdat and Ein mor.

It's a beautiful hike between the cliffs of Tzin stream near Midreshet Ben gurion and Kibbutz Sde boker, and there are plenty of waterfalls and pools in the nature reserve.

If you look well on the cliffs, you would notice small caves where Byzantine monks were used to isolate from the outside world.

The name โ€œAvdat'' is after the ancient Nabatean town nearby that was built on the anceint and famous incense trade route. The Nabateans were used to be merchants and traders of the ancient world and were building their cities in the desert. Their most known city is Petra in present-day Jordan, and they lived in that area from 3rd century BCE to 1st century CE.

The hike is 800 meters long to the waterfall and back. but there are longer trails.

Happy Christmas and Feliz Navidad!

Welcome to Nazareth!

We visited the Catholic church of Annunciation ,known also as the "Basilica of Annunciation" and it is the most impressive site in Nazareth and the symbol of the city.
The church is an outstanding building built on the cave, where was the house of Mary.
According to tradition the archangel Gabriel visited Mary and told her she is carrying the boy Jesus in her womb. The church was first built in Byzantine times in the 5th century, rebuilt in the Crusaders times in the 12th century and its modern reconstruction was in 1969 by the Israeli company of Solel Bone, and was designed by Italian architect Giovani muzio.
The church is such a powerful, monumental building inducing a sense of mystery and eternity.
After the church, we enjoyed some of the Christmas atmosphere in the city, and we saw some very impressive decorations and trees and enjoyed some delicious knaffe.

Welcome to Mount Meron summit trail, part of the largest and highest nature reserve in the Galilee!

This is one of the most beautiful trails in Israel. located on the top of Mount Meron which is the second highest mountain in israel after mt. Hermon and its altitude is 1208 meters above sea level. There are several spectacular observation points on our way! We get views on all directions of northern Israel as we circle around. There are Signs that explain what you see in each of the spectacular lookouts: from the sea of galilee to mt.Hermon, from south Lebanon to the Lower Galilee.

Due to the lack of human settlements on the top of the mountain, there is a natural mediterranean forest that wasn't harmed, the hiking between the woods is absolutely magical! The trail is also part of the Israel national trail.
There is a very nice blossom during the autumn and the trail is good all year long for hiking. The trail is easy, comfy and about 2 km long and suits to everyone!
Mt. Adir is a part of the Meron mountains range and the nature reserve and its 1008 m above sea level and observation point is dedicated to memory of second lebanon war fallen soldiers, and has an amazing view towards South Lebanon villages where many battles took place during the war.

Welcome to Arbel Nature reserve!
Located in the heart of the lower Galilee, The Arbel was declared as a nature reserve in 1967 and covers 4000 dunams.

The main highlight of the reserve is the cliff with a breathtaking view of the Sea of galilee, Golan heights, Jordan valley, the galilee and mount Hermon, and cities of Safed and Tiberias.
It rises to 181 meters above sea level and dominates its surroundings and its 390 meters high above the sea of Galilee itself which is below the sea level.

The cliff contains historical and archaeological sites, as the arbel fortress which was built by a local Druze ruler in the 17th century and the cave villages that were used as hideouts for the Jews against the Greeks and the Romans ,and where historical fights took place as the great jewish revolt and king Herod's fights with hasmoneans and other antiquities as an ancient synagogue which is unique in that its ark is not facing the Jerusalem direction.
The cliff is also home to a lot of birds and other cliff-dwelling animals.
hiking from the cliff top to the bottom is about 3 hours long and 2 km length which ends in the bedouin village of wadi Hamam .The Israel national trail and the Jesus trail are also included as part of the Arbel hike.

Welcome to Sorek Estuary dunes!

Nahal Sorek starts in the Judean mountains near Jerusalem and flows about 70km to the end near Kibbutz Palmachim in the west, on the Mediterranean shore. One of the most beautiful beaches in Israel!
We had a walk of 2.5km that started from the Ecalyptus groove at the start of Nahal Sorek estuary park and the hike itself combines a river, beach flowers, small cave and the main attraction: Amazing sand dunes that you can run and roll from them, just a few min walk from the sea shore!
Its an easy trail recommended for hiking all year long!

Welcome to Sidna Ali national park!
The park is named after the beautiful ancient mosque that is located on a cliff above the Herzliya beach , just a bit north of the city of tel aviv.
The Sidna Ali mosque was built in 1481 and was named after a Muslim warrior, Ali Ibn Alim that was killed a battle nearby against the Crusaders in the 13th century.
The mosque is still active today and the entrance is on a modest dressing only.
Near the mosque, on the clff itself we can find ancient Muslim graveyard and the entire cliff is covered by beach plants and lillies.

The main reason that attracts many visitors to the park is the really amazing view towards the sea and the entire coast line from the cliff above especially during the sunset times. it's really beautiful and magical and worth the visit!
