vacuation of Tourists from Israel – Update (Thu, Mar 5, 2026)

The Ministry of Tourism is providing shuttle services from Jerusalem (Arena Parking Lot) and Tel Aviv (Savidor Center Train Station Parking Lot) to the Begin (Taba) Border Terminal near Eilat, to help tourists reach Egypt and onward flights.

Feast of the Transfiguration – Mount Tabor
August 6

Today, we celebrate one of the most profound moments in the life of Christ – the Transfiguration, when Jesus revealed His divine glory to Peter, James, and John on Mount Tabor.

“His face shone like the sun, and His clothes became as white as the light.” – Matthew 17:2

On this sacred mountain, Jesus stood between Moses and Elijah, representing the Law and the Prophets, affirming that He is the fulfillment of both. A voice from heaven proclaimed:
"This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Listen to Him!"

Mount Tabor, located in the Lower Galilee of Israel, has become a place of pilgrimage for Christians worldwide. Its breathtaking views and spiritual atmosphere offer a glimpse of the divine mystery celebrated in this feast.
