Sabras/prickly pears are still in season, though you won't find them in stores anymore. I picked these off a fense surrounding some orchards near my house... also you know the saying.. prickly on the outside and sweet on the inside, just like Israelis.

This was a long time coming. Since I started my site I envisioned a section containing a few self guided tours, available for free. I'm a big fan of high quality, free content. It's all about a good story, and there's never any shortage of that, so why treat it as some big secret? Especially in this age of information that we live in.
So here's the first (I hope out of several) self guided walking tours - of Old Jaffa. It's pretty much the same tour that I give my tourists, summed up in shorter form.
I'm happy to send it out into the world as my gift, feel free to pass it to anyone you know who might be coming to Israel and might find it useful.
