🌿 Happy Sukkot! 🌿

Sukkot is a Jewish holiday that celebrates the harvest and commemorates the Israelites’ journey through the desert after the Exodus from Egypt.

During the seven-day holiday, many people eat, gather and even sleep in a sukkah — a temporary hut that reminds us of the temporary shelters used during this journey.

Chag Sameach! 💚

Yom Kippur, known as the Day of Atonement, is the holiest day in the Jewish calendar.

It is a day dedicated to prayer, fasting, repentance and seeking forgiveness. Jewish people around the world take time to reflect on the past year, ask forgiveness from God and from others, and begin the new year with a renewed sense of purpose.

For Christians visiting the Holy Land, Yom Kippur offers a meaningful opportunity to understand the Jewish roots and traditions that are woven throughout the biblical story.

Wishing all who observe Yom Kippur a meaningful and peaceful day.
