राज्यसभा सांसद नवीन जैन के सांसद बनने के बाद आगरा में प्रथम आगमन पर आगरा टूरिस्ट वेलफेयर चैम्बर की ओर से हैंडिक्राफ़्ट्स प्लाजा, फतेहाबाद रोड पर धूमधाम से स्वागत किया गया। इस अवसर पर सांसद नवीन जैन का चैम्बर अध्यक्ष प्रह्लाद अग्रवाल, संयोजक राजीव तिवारी, सचिव अनूप गोयल, अशोक जैन ओसवाल,आशीष माथुर, विशाल शर्मा, अतुल गर्ग, शक्ति कालरा,संतोष माहेश्वरी, अनिल बंसल आदि के द्वारा माल्यार्पण कर स्वागत किया गया। इनके अलावा अन्य संस्थाओं आगरा डेवलपमेंट फाउंडेशन,ट्रैवल एजेंट एसोसिएशन,फोटोग्राफर्स एसोसिएशन के पदाधिकारी गण, लघु उद्योग भारती के उपाध्यक्ष राकेश गर्ग आदि ने भी माल्यार्पण कर स्वागत किया।

awaits the arrival of tourists. Domestic is picking up at the monument complex slowly with the easing of restrictions but overall the traffic is pretty low at present.
Tourists need to be made aware that is a safe destination for travelling to during times.

माननीय महापौर जी,पर्यटन को इस संकट से उबारने का आपका प्रयास सराहनीय है।विदित हो कि आगरा के पंडित दीनदयाल उपाध्याय सिविल एंक्लेव के निर्माण के लिये बाउंड्री का शुभारंभ मार्च 2018 से शुरू हो गया था, लेकिन 2 वर्ष से अधिक समय पश्चात भी अभी बाउंड्री का काम अधूरा है। अगर माननीय योगी जी का आप ध्यान आकृष्ट करें तो बाउंड्री का शेष निर्माण पूर्ण होने के पश्चात एअरपोर्ट अथॉरिटी औफ इंडिया द्वारा सिविल एंक्लेव का निर्माण आरम्भ हो सकेगा और सिविल एंक्लेव के निर्माण से आगरा के पर्यटन को लाभ मिल सकेगा।

Speaking to India Today, chamber president Prahalad Agarwal said that despite being allowed to reopen their businesses from Monday, most emporium owners have decided to remain closed for the rest of the month, as low domestic tourist volume arriving in Agra from nearby cities like Delhi, Kanpur, Lucknow, etc., does not justify the operational expenses incurred in keeping the emporium open.

A meeting of handicraft emporium owners and other tourism-related businesses of Agra was held recently under the aegis of Agra Tourist Welfare Chamber.
