Selamat Hari Raya Galungan & Kuningan to all Balinese Friends!!!

Galungan is a big, happy celebration where people connect with God, eat good Balinese food and dresses up in traditional clothes to visit the temples and their families.

Galungan is one of the various types of festivities celebrated by Hindus in Bali. For this celebration, Balinese Hindus perform various religious activities.

Galungan is a special day to celebrate the victory of the Dharma (goodness) against the Adharma (evil) through the blessing of Sang Hyang Widhi Wasa or God Almighty.

It is celebrated by Hindus every 210 days according to Balinese calendar calculations, called “Buddha Kliwon Dungulan” (Wednesday). The celebration is held for 10 consecutive days.

The Kuningan Day is celebrated every six months, exactly 10 days after Galungan Day. Kuningan falls on Saniscara (Saturday). The word Kuningan derived from the word “kauningan” which literally means getting closer to God with self-reflection, so we will always be safe from dangerous things in our life. Kuningan celebration itself means that we as humans promise ourselves, nature and God to always win the dharma (goodness) and defeat the adharma (evil).

There are no religious ceremonies during this day, yet you can see the festivities from people celebrating the rest of the holiday and time off with their friends and family.

We are happy to share that The Anvaya Bali has achieved another milestone by being recognized for implementing new normal protocols.

Issued by the Tourism Authority of Bali, the certificate is given to hotels taking measures to ensure the highest standards on cleanliness, hygiene, safety and environment for its community.

Prior to the certification, the hotel has reopened its door on 31 July 2020 after temporarily closed in April and now all ready for guests to enjoy in a safe environment.
