The first edition of the Geneva International Motor Show Qatar (GIMS Qatar) commences on 5 October and will showcase more than 30 international brands.

With just one month to go to the opening, the Tour d’Excellence sets its course for Doha promoting GIMS values of excellence, innovation, and pioneering spirit.

Crew members Frank M Rinderknecht, CEO of Rinspeed AG, and Rainer Zietlow, owner of Challenge 4 and holder of 6 Guinness World Records for long-distance travel embark on a 6,500 km journey to Doha, crossing 12 countries and 2 seas aboard two Volkswagen ID Buzz cars bearing the GIMS colors with their arrival set for 30 September.

Frying Pan Adventures is the brainchild of two sisters, Arva and Farida Ahmed. We grew up in Dubai during the 80s and made a commitment to preserve the foods, stories and community feel of a city that has witnessed incredible change through our lifetime. Their team of longtime locals loves exploring, researching and storytelling as much as we do eating—and we’re always hungry for new ways to rediscover the city they call home.

Their 3 to 4 hour walking food tours and custom-tailored food events in Old Dubai are a favourite not only with discerning visitors to Dubai but also to many residents, both old and new. They have curated our tours for people whose curiosity and open-mindedness leads them through doors that most tourists and even resident expats may not open.
