Travel from your home country to India and head towards Ahmedabad, Gujarat. We start our tour in Ahmedabad, which is located about 4 hours drive north from Mumbai. The rest of this day is therefore free for you to relax, shop and unwind.

Day 2 - Wednesday, February 25th - 2015 (Ahmedabad)

The second day of our program begins with a visit to the Gandhi Ashram, located on the banks of the river Sabamati in Ahmedabad. This ashram is the first ashram established by Mahatma Gandhi after his return from South Africa.
The afternoon includes a visit the Ahmedabad Museum and in the evening we will visit to the bustling and colourful night market at the Law Garden, so we recommend that you bring your low light equipment to capture the amazing atmosphere here.

Day 3 - Thursday, February 26th - 2015 (Ahmedabad)

In the morning we will take you on a heritage walk around the charming streets of the oldest quarter of Ahmedabad. This walk takes us through narrow back alleys and shows us some of the most charming parts of the city. The ancient cityscape provides us a magical setting for street photography, where every-day life in Gujarat unfolds before our lenses.
After the heritage walk we head to the soothing ambience of the Adalaj Stepwell, located 18 km north of Ahmedabad. This stepwell is five stories deep and has provided basic water needs for drinking, washing and bathing since 1499.
Later in the day we visit the Sarkhej Roza mosque 7 km southwest of Ahmedabad. The mosque is known as "Ahmedabad's Acropolis" and is from the time Ahmedabad was built, during the reign of Ahmed Shah (1410-1443).

Day 4 - Friday, February 27th - 2015 (Kutch)

The time has come to leave Ahmedabad behind and to set a course towards the city of Bhuj. This is the perfect location from where to explore the great White Desert of Kutch and observe the making of top quality handicrafts here.

Day 5 - Saturday, February 28th - 2015 (Kutch)

Today we expose ourselves and to the white sand of the desert. Filters and wide angle lenses are essential here to capture outstanding landscape photos.

On this day we are going on a handicraft walk in Kutch to experience, up close, skilled hands producing amazingly detailed handicrafts of all styles, patterns and color.

Day 7 - Monday, March 2nd - 2015 (Wankaner)

At this point we are over halfway through our journey. On our way to the kingdom of the lion we will be staying at a beautiful old hotel, the Royal Oasis located in Wankaner, north of the city of Rajkot.

Diu is an island of the coast of Gujarat; a former Portuguese colony, it has a rich and varied architecture that reflects the 500 years of Portuguese rule, as well as the more traditional Indian buildings.
