As I gaze out the window of the plane, I'm met with a breathtaking sight. We're cruising at an altitude of over 30,000 feet, and below me, I see the majestic Ram Setu, also known as Adam's Bridge, stretching across the Indian Ocean.
The chain of limestone shoals and sandbars appears as a thin, golden line, connecting the southern tip of India to the northern coast of Sri Lanka. The crystal-clear waters of the ocean glisten in the sunlight, creating a dazzling display of turquoise and blue hues.
From this height, the Ram Setu looks like a fragile, yet resilient, thread, weaving together the two nations. I can see the faint outline of the islands and islets that dot the bridge, their lush green forests and white sandy beaches a stark contrast to the endless expanse of the ocean.
As the plane flies over the Ram Setu, I feel a sense of awe and wonder at the natural beauty of this ancient wonder. According to Hindu mythology, this bridge was created by Lord Rama and his army of monkeys to reach the kingdom of Lanka. Today, it stands as a testament to the region's rich history and cultural heritage.
The sight of the Ram Setu from 30,000 feet is a truly humbling experience, reminding me of the incredible diversity and complexity of our world. As the plane continues its journey to Sri Lanka, I feel grateful to have witnessed this incredible sight, and I look forward to exploring the many wonders that this beautiful island nation has to offer.
