अहमदनगर - कुछ विशेष

अहमदनगर में जलवायु वर्ष भर सामान्‍य रहती है। यहां का मौसम गर्मियों के दौरान शुष्‍क और गर्म रहता है। शायद पर्यटकों को यह टाइम घूमने के लिए रास न आएं। मानसून के दौरान यहां के तापमान में गिरावट आ जाती है और पर्यटकों का आना बढ़ जाता है। हालांकि सर्दियों के दौरान यहां का तापमान सामान्‍य रहता है जो यात्रा के उचित है। अहमदनगर महाराष्ट्र राज्य के भीतर और बाहर अच्छी तरह वायुमार्ग, रेलवे और सड़क मार्ग से जुड़ा हुआ है।
यहां के पास के शहर पुणे में इंटरनेशनल एयरपोर्ट भी है जो दूर देश से आने वाले पर्यटकों को अहमदनगर तक आराम से पहुंचने का जरिया है। अहमदनगर से मुंबई और पुणे तक जाने में मात्र 4 से 5 घंटे का समय लगता है। अहमदनगर एक शानदार शहर है जो 500 साल से भी पुराना है। यहां की संस्‍कृति और सभ्‍यता पर्यटकों का मन मोह लेती है। पूरा शहर धार्मिक, ऐतिहासिक और प्राकृतिक स्‍थलों से भरा हुआ है। इस शहर में ग्‍लैमर नहीं सच्‍चाई है।

Ahmednagar Weather

The climate in Ahmednagar is moderately pleasant for the most part of the year. The weather is predominantly dry and hot – a reason why visiting the place during the summer may not prove to be such a great idea. Tourist Places In and Around Ahmednagar

The Ahmednagar Fort is one of the major attractions in the city. It signifies the Ahmed Nizam Shah’s victorious capture of the Daulatabad fort. The fort interestingly also served as a prison for our noted National Leaders who fought the Freedom Struggle. The fort held a lot of noteworthy figures as prisoners including Jawaharlal Nehru, during the Quit India Movement.

Ahmednagar - Of Historical Significance

Ahmednagar has a track record of more than a half a millennium worth of history, starting right back in the 1490s. Ahmednagar was established as a town back in 1494 by the Ahmed Nizam Shah. The district hence derives its name from its founder. The region’s history goes right back to the time when Ahmed Nizam Shah founded the district under the Nizami Shahi dynasty right before it was taken over by the great Mughal ruler, Shah Jahan, around 150 years later in 1636.
Ahmednagar later went on to the Peshwas and the Maratha, in and around 1759 post which it was handed over to Daulat Rao Sindhia – the Maratha Chief. The British, under the leadership of Lord Wellesley, were the last of its conquerors, when Ahmednagar came as per the Treaty of Poona in 1817.
