Today we were birding at Cotigao Wildlife Sanctuary(Goa, India) a dense primary moist broad leaves evergreen forest. Birding there in monsoon is dangerous with falling trees (path blocked as seen in the image) or exploding trees (trees dramatically explode when struck by lightning). But we are always prepared with emergency equipment like electric winches, tyre inflators, JumpStart kits, traction boards, gumboots, raincoats, walkie talkies, extended medical kits and emergency rations.
And, we had a great trip with - Malayan Night Heron (a rarest of the rare), Square-tailed Bulbul (rare), White-bellied Woodpecker, Oriental Dwarf Kingfisher, Grey-headed Bulbul, Besra, Malabar Barbets, Malabar Imperial Pigeons, Malabar Grey Hornbill, Malabar Trogon, Malabar Flame back, Grey-fronted Green Pigeon, Yellow-browed Bulbul and more..
