From the team behind SingleThread, Sonoma County's celebrated three-Michelin-starred restaurant, comes The Selvedge, a new country-house retreat along the Russian River.

Set in a restored 1895 Victorian mansion, the inn takes its inspiration from the English countryside, where Kyle and Katina Connaughton spent years living and working, with a playful nod to British punk culture.

Interiors bring together British craftsmanship, textiles from UK makers, vintage furnishings, bold florals, and unexpected details. Even the name has a story, drawn from the finely finished edge of a woven fabric, a tribute to the art of making things well.

A private pool in Venice? That got our attention.

Part of Airelles Palladio Venezia on Giudecca, Villa Mason is a 200-square-meter, three-bedroom hideaway set within the quiet gardens of the Conventino. Behind its doors, antiques and period furniture give the villa a sense of history, while three bedrooms, three bathrooms with hammam showers, a kitchen and generous living space unfold across two floors.

NEW ON THE BLOG! THE RTLM CORSICA GUIDE 🇫🇷

Our Mediterranean journey started on the roads of Sardinia, continued with eight days at sea aboard BANG!, and ended in Corsica, where we traded the yacht for a car and set off from Bonifacio to Calvi.

Corsica was quite a finale.

Limestone cliffs, mountain roads, hilltop villages, three very different hotels and plenty of reasons to linger longer next time.

⭐️ HOT NEW OPENING | Mandarin Oriental Punta Negra, Mallorca 🇪🇸

Mandarin Oriental has a new address in the med. Punta Negra is sprawled across three hectares of coastline, spilling down a rust-colored cliff to two small calas with direct access to the sea.

The hotel takes its cues from the island, with bright rooms that draw on the ochres of the rocks, pine greens and shifting blues of the water, while work by Mallorcan artists and creatives brings a local point of view indoors.

There are two pools, Mediterranean dining at Lepocc and a Greek restaurant. The private pier is a wonderful Mallorcan touch: take a boat across to Puerto Portals when a little polish and people-watching call.

A very tempting new reason to return to Mallorca.
