After the early starts and dusty game drives of safari, this is where we’d happily disappear for a few days.

Set on the southern tip of Benguerra Island in Mozambique’s Bazaruto Archipelago, stretches across 300 hectares of forest, dunes and Indian Ocean shoreline. 🌞 Sunsets on BANG! Yacht | SARDINIA & CORSICA by land and sea

Sardinia had been on my list for years, so I was thrilled to finally make it there this summer with Gil and friends who have become our favorite travel partners over the years.

We spent eight days aboard BANG! yacht (a 115ft Benetti 2000), sailing between Sardinia and Corsica, with morning swims, hidden anchorages, long lunches, delicious meals and sunset after sunset from the boat.

It was the perfect way to slow down and take in the beauty of the islands.

I then explored Sardinia by land, from the wild Costa Verde to the mountains inland and the glamour of Porto Cervo, researching five very different hotels: La Villa del Re, Hotel Le Dune Piscinas, Forte Village, Su Gologone and Hotel Pitrizza.



I’ve shared both experiences on the blog, along with my recommendations for honeymoons, family holidays, food and wine trips, and glamorous escapes.
