ਵਿਰਾਸਤੇ-ਖਾਲਸਾ, ਵੱਡਾ ਅਤੇ ਛੋਟਾ ਘੱਲੂਘਾਰਾ ਅਤੇ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਵਿਖੇ ਵਿਰਾਸਤੀ ਮਾਰਗ ਸਮੇਤ ਸੂਬੇ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਸਮਾਰਕ ਕਿਸੇ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਗੋਂ ਪੰਜਾਬੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਵਿਰਸਾ ਹਨ। ਜੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਾਂਭ-ਸੰਭਲ ਲਈ ਪੈਸੇ ਜਾਰੀ ਨਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਣਗੌਲਿਆਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਾਂ ਫਿਰ ਸਫੈਦ ਹਾਥੀ ਕਹਿਕੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਅਪਮਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਇਹ ਨੁਕਸਾਨ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਅਤੇ ਪੰਜਾਬੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਹੈ। ਸੈਰ ਸਪਾਟਾ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨਵਜੋਤ ਸਿੱਧੂ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਸਭ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਝਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਸੂਬੇ ਦੀ ਵਿਰਾਸਤ ਦੀ ਰਾਖੀ ਕਰਨਾ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰੀ ਹੈ। ਪਰ ਬਦਕਿਸਮਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਮਹਿਸੂਸ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਬਜਾਇ ਉਹ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿਵਹਾਰ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਅਜੇ ਵੀ ਕਿਸੇ ਕਾਮੇਡੀ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਵਿਚ ਭਾਗ ਲੈ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
The State’s monuments including Virasat-e-Khalsa, Vadda and Chhota Ghallughara or even the heritage street at Amritsar don’t belong to any party but Punjabis. If they are neglected by not allocating funds for their maintenance or insulted by being called white elephants then the loss is of Punjab and Punjabis. Tourism minister Navjot Sidhu has done all this. He should realize that it is his responsibility to protect the heritage of the State. But unfortunately far from realizing this he is behaving as if he is still participating in a laughter challenge episode.
