The students of The Mann School have successfully completed the Everest Base Camp Trek with Trek The Himalayas as part of the TTH Outbound Learning Program.

This incredible group included 14 students, along with 2 teachers, who took on one of the most iconic trekking journeys in the world. What made this expedition even more inspiring was that 3 of the students were just 12 years old, proving that determination, courage, and the right guidance can take you to extraordinary places.

From walking through the beautiful Himalayan trails of Nepal to standing at the base of the world’s highest mountain, the journey was filled with adventure, learning, teamwork, and personal growth. Beyond the trek itself, the students experienced life in the mountains, learned to adapt to challenges, supported one another on the trail, and built memories that will stay with them for years to come.

The expedition was led by our experienced trek leader, Kalam Bisht, whose leadership and support ensured a safe, smooth, and memorable experience for the entire team throughout the journey.

We are proud of every student and teacher who completed this remarkable adventure and embraced the true spirit of exploration and resilience.

On the Gaumukh Tapovan Trek, Day 2 is thoughtfully designed to help trekkers adjust to the altitude while also experiencing the spiritual and natural essence of Gangotri.

At an altitude of over 10,000 ft, allowing the body enough time to adapt is extremely important for a safe and comfortable trekking experience. This gradual adjustment helps reduce the chances of AMS and prepares trekkers for the journey ahead. But instead of treating this as a complete rest day, we turn it into an experience that adds depth and meaning to the trek itself.

During the day, trekkers get the opportunity to explore some of the most iconic and sacred places around Gangotri. From the revered Bhagirath Shila, where King Bhagirath is believed to have meditated, to the powerful Surya Kund and Gauri Kund where the Bhagirathi River rushes dramatically through rocky cliffs, every place has its own significance and atmosphere.

A short excursion to Pandav Gufa offers peaceful forest surroundings and stories connected to the Mahabharata, while time spent at the Gangotri Temple and beside the Bhagirathi River allows trekkers to slow down and absorb the calmness of the region. Adding to the experience are the incredible views of surrounding Himalayan peaks like Mt. Sudarshan and Mt. Thelu, standing tall over the sacred valley.

This balance of acclimatization, exploration, spirituality, and Himalayan beauty is what makes Day 2 of the Gaumukh Tapovan Trek so special. Before the real climb begins, trekkers already start building a connection with the mountains, the culture, and the journey ahead.

Join us on the Gaumukh Tapovan Trek and experience every step with purpose.

This year marked the beginning of the Summit Scholars Himalayan Summer Camp, where children experienced the mountains in a way they will remember for years to come. It became a journey filled with learning, friendships, confidence, and memories that will stay with them as they grow up.

Hosted in the beautiful meadows of Dayara Bugyal, the camp gave children a chance to step away from screens and daily routines and experience the outdoors in the best possible way. From playing games together and exploring the mountains to sharing stories at campsites, every day was filled with excitement, laughter, and meaningful experiences. By the end of the camp, many of the children simply did not want to go back home.

The Summit Scholars Himalayan Summer Camp was designed to combine outdoor adventure with learning through experiences. Through every activity, game, and challenge, children learned important life skills like teamwork, communication, responsibility, confidence, problem-solving, and even basic first aid, all while enjoying the beauty of the Himalayas.

One of the most special highlights of the camp was when each child became a “Trek Leader for a Day.” This activity helped them understand leadership qualities in a practical and memorable way. Watching them guide their teams, support one another, and take responsibility was inspiring.

More than just a camp, this became a space where children formed genuine friendships, discovered confidence within themselves, and created memories they will always look back on fondly. These are the experiences that shape childhood in the most meaningful way.

A heartfelt thank you to all the parents for trusting us with their children, and to all the young explorers who filled this journey with energy, curiosity, and endless smiles.

Make sure your children get to experience a summer camp like this at least once in their childhood, because some of life’s best lessons are learned outside classrooms and close to nature.
