Kanha Jungle Lodge The lodge is situated at the south end of Kanha National Park, 2 minutes from the Mukki gate.

For the past 28 years, Tarun and Dimple Bhati, have been running Kanha Jungle Lodge following the eco-friendly guidelines late Mr. Pradeep Sankhala (Tarun’s Uncle) set up when he established the lodge in 1988. The lodge is situated at the south end of Kanha National Park in Madhya Pradesh, a 2 minute jeep ride away from the Mukki entrance gate and it is in walking distance of the Banjar river. As

the lodge is nestled amongst a forest of Sal, Bamboo and a number of flowering plants and trees, including the host plants for many butterflies makes it’s a paradise for insect enthusiasts and perfect place for birdwatchers alike - you can birdwatch from the porch of the guest cottages and if you’re lucky you will even spot a herd of spotted deer in amongst the trees, jackals, jungle cats, civet, wildboar and langur monkeys feeding in the treetops. Don't miss out the elusive, resident giant flying squirrel, the star attraction of Jungle Lodge. One can find tracks and signs of various mammals around the camp and on rare
occasions even big cats.

Happy International Tiger Day! 🐅

Protecting one tiger helps safeguard nearly 25,000 acres of forest, preserving countless species, clean water, and healthy ecosystems. As an umbrella species, the tiger protects an entire web of life.

Today, we also honour the legacy of Kailash Sankhala, The Tigerman of India, whose vision and leadership through Project Tiger helped give India's tigers a second chance.

While tiger numbers have improved, their forests still need our protection. Let's ensure these magnificent stripes never fade from the wild.

On the occasion of National Moth Week, we are thrilled to announce the release of our book, Moths of Kanha.

After years of exploration, observation, photography, and documentation, this book is finally here. It celebrates the extraordinary diversity of moths found in and around Kanha, bringing to light the beauty and ecological importance of these often-overlooked creatures.

Moths of Kanha is the first field guide dedicated to the moths of a specific tiger reserve in India. It showcases hundreds of species and offers a window into the rich nocturnal biodiversity that flourishes alongside Kanha's iconic wildlife.

We hope this book inspires naturalists, researchers, photographers, students, and nature enthusiasts to discover and appreciate the fascinating world of moths and the vital role they play in our ecosystems.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us on this incredible journey. We are excited to finally share this labour of love with you.
