It is a centre & spot of Tourist’s for the Paragliding, Camping, Trekking, Hang Gliding, Mountain Biking, Cycling, Hiking and meditation. Bir is also known as Paragliding Capital of India because it is the first highest paragliding site in India and also it is the number one site

for paragliding in all over Asia. The First Paragliding World Cup hold in Bir-Billing on 23 October 2015. “It is a heaven for Paragliding”.

पैराग्लाइडिंग एक्यूरैसी वर्ल्ड कप में भाग लेने वाली पहली भारतीय पायलट बनी हिमाचल की बेटी Anurag Sharma
पपरोला (बीड़) (गौरव): हिमाचल प्रदेश के मंडी जिला के जोगिंद्रनगर के अंतर्गत आते ट्रामट गांव की अलीशा कटोच पैराग्लाइडिंग एक्यूरैसी वर्ल्ड कप में भाग लेने वाली पहली भारतीय पायलट बन गई हैं। अलीशा कटोच ने बताया कि 2019 में जब वह 16 वर्ष की थी तो उन्होंने अपने परिवार को बिना बताए अपने खर्च पर पैराग्लाइडिंग का प्रशिक्षण प्राप्त किया। उसने 2023 से अंतर्राष्ट्रीय प्रतियोगिताओं में भाग लेना शुरू किया और 15 महीने में 11 प्रतियोगिताओं में भाग लेकर 5 पदक हासिल किए। इनमें 3 एक्यूरैसी और 2 क्रॉस कंट्री प्रतियोगिताएं भी शामिल हैं। अलीशा कटोच ने बताया कि भारत के वर्तमान शीर्ष रैंक वाले पायलट विजय सोनी के सान्निध्य में उन्होंने यह मुकाम हासिल किया है। अलीशा कटोच ने कहा कि यह तो बस एक शुरूआत है, अभी बहुत आगे जाना है, मेरी असली जीत तभी होगी जब मैं विदेशी धरती पर अपने देश का नाम रोशन करूंगी।
