Even the new sweet houses can't beat their taste. Must try sweets are Carrot and Badam halwa, Jaamoon. One sweet you should never miss to try out is Dhum rhot which will be available only from 3:30 PM. Dhum rhot will be served fresh and hot along with mixture (chow chow). Make sure you go with in 5 PM for Dhum rhot since most of the time it gets over in an hour or so!!

Simple, unpretentious breakfast place in Cubbonpet. I tried their Mini Bhath Dosa and Khali dosa both had a buttery finish thanks to a good drizzle of ghee. The pulav also stood out for being fragrant and light. Seating is tight and it’s easy to miss while driving by on the narrow lane (20th/21st Cross Road), but service is polite and prices are very reasonable
