PEOPLE OF ASSAM AND MEGHALAYA

People of Assam fall in into few ethnic groups, largest of them being the Ahom. Apart from that there are many tribes, some of the more common tribes being Bodo, Mising and Karbi apart from the main Ahom/Assamese people. The main tribes of Meghalaya are the Khasis, Jaintias, and Garos. Other tribes that live in the state include the Rabhas, Boros, Hajongs, and Koches.
