Hello everyone! It’s been a quiet few days here on our handle, but we are back and so excited to share a few captures from our recent exploration. 📸✨

We recently walked through the Gavi Gangadhareshwara Temple and the surrounding settlements with a very curious guest who happens to be an old-time Bangalorean. Honestly, it made the whole experience even more delightful, just listening to her talk about their childhood and their memories of old Bangalore as we explored.

This temple and its surroundings is an all-time favourite of ours because it has it all - history, architecture, science, and traditions. Experiencing that timelessness alongside a local's personal nostalgia was the perfect, unhurried way to spend the day. 🏛️🙏

A city that stood at the crossroads of power.

From the Hoysalas and Vijayanagara rulers to the Wodeyars, Hyder Ali, Tipu Sultan, and finally the English - Srirangapatna has witnessed centuries of ambition, strategy, and conflict.

Encircled by the Kaveri, it rises as a natural Jaladurg - a fortress protected by water, once considered nearly impregnable. Within its walls lie layers of architecture that have earned its recognition on the UNESCO heritage list, each structure echoing a different time, a different story.

A visit here is more than history.
It is an unfolding - of design, defence, and legacy.

In the Pete, history isn't tucked behind glass or velvet ropes. It’s in the steam rising from a coffee mug, the worn stone of a centuries-old temple, and the rhythmic hustle of a market that wakes up with the sun - unchanged in spirit.

This is heritage in motion.

Fourteen years ago, Unhurried began right here with our . Today, these streets are still our greatest teachers. Every corner has a secret; every alley has a story we’re still learning to tell.

On this World Heritage Day, we’re deeply grateful to everyone who has walked with us, questioned the old, and cherished the new.
