ಮೈಸೂರನ್ನು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ರಾಜಧಾನಿ ಎಂದು ಕರೆಯಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಅನೇಕ ಅರಮನೆಗಳಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ಮೈಸೂರನ್ನು ಕೆಲವೊಮ್ಮೆ ಅರಮನೆಗಳ ನಗರ ಎಂದೂ ಕರೆಯಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಎರಡನೇ ಅತಿ ದೊಡ್ಡ ನಗರವೆಂಬ ಪ್ರಖ್ಯಾತಿಯನ್ನೂ ಪಡೆದಿದೆ..
