Rustic Royalty in all its Glory...

This is how I would put it...
As we head to the final leg of our holiday we soak in the warmth of Jodhpur and head towards Udaipur..

A quick stop at Ranakhpur..
A magnificent Jain temple nestled in the valley of the Aravalli ranges.....

Finally Udaipur...this city reeks of Royalty,beauty and valour..you can't but help get lost in the glory of it all, you can actually feel the essence of the valiant Mewars who always held thier own, withstanding constant attack from foreigners.

As we had experienced the raw rustic hospitality earlier on here we dived head on into the "Regal experience". Lots of wineing and dining amongst the royal splender of this "Lake City".

As I say Good bye to Rajasthan it is never with a heavy heart...as I know I will be back...for more.

Bishnoi.

The word so famous now (thanks to a certain Mr. Khan who learn a thing or 2 from this peacefull sect)

A visit to a Bishnoi village with lunch with them also experienced a few "magical"things 😁.

Later in the day moved to the "dhurrie"weavers hospitable home....where we were blown away by the immense hard work and dedication which goes into making these.

Lots of shopping here.No satisfaction is greater then buying a product directly from the maker.

Rajasthan incomplete without a stay in the desert....
From adreline rushing rides in open jeeps which drops you into the lap of the desert where u experience the culture of Rajasthan.

All about amazing food,great performances by local artists which u get to experience around a bonfire and even dinner outdoors.

Perfect end to a long day is as u sleep in your tent you are trying to identity all the the foreign strangely calming noises of the desert....

So much to experience with you ❣️❣️

Jaisalmer
This was our first stop.
One of the few living forts...
A City with such interesting "gullies" a pleasure to get lost here....
Feel each house has a story to tell.
The many little shops hidden amongst theses...a shoppers haven.

Towards the end of the day ride along a bumpy path...lots if lil cafes promising a lovely view of the city and sunset as u tuck into hot pakoras and chai,and not to Miss thier pyazz ki kachori and lassi. We choose the Kaku cafe...which lived upto it's expectations.

A government approved bhang Shop is a must visit.
For the less adventurous a plain delicious lassi for the free spirited ones cookie and chocolates are in plenty...which ever form.

Dinner one night was a typical Rajasthani thali in one of the many Regal places around Jaisalmer.
