Located on a busy corner near Vile Parle local station, this almost 50-year-old restaurant never fails to draw a crowd. As a classic Indian restaurant, it offers a wide range of dishes with it's authenticity maintained since 1973.I remember while I was a kid parents taking us to the place for any meal became a bigger treat than expected with much awaited queues as nothing could beat this place in any way .

The pagoda is a welcome break from the bustle of the metropolis of Mumbai. The golden spire sits atop a large stone dome, one of the largest in the world, and the apex of the dome is said to contain ashes of the Buddha. Fountains, gardens, and a replica Ashoka column adorn the complex. Most impressively of all though, is the descendant of the Bodhi tree in Mahabodhi, under which the Buddha is said to have attained Enlightenment 2500 years ago. Whether one is a Buddhist or not, it is impressive to be able to have such a connection to such an ancient tradition.
Must visit if you are in Mumbai .

Visited this great place during my stay in Mumbai. The world’s largest un-supported stone dome & one of the 7 wonders of Maharashtra, this place gives you a feeling of calm and peacefulness the moment you enter it. Was lucky to experience 10 minutes’ therapy session they keep running for the visitors throughout the day. For anyone interested in meditation, they also provide free of charge 10 days at their premises which also includes their stay. No food items allowed from outside but the food was good in their self-service food courts. Crowd is usually not much (depending on the time of the day) and there are very helpful staff members available to guide the visitors appropriately throughout the premises.
With a really easy access via Gorai Creek (if you are using public transport). While a non-sharing auto from Borivali train station to Gorai Creek takes 90-100 rupees, you’d pay approx. 40-50 rupees for a sharing one. They’ve increased the prices for Esselworld ferry which now costs 100 rupees for a return journey from the Creek.
Overall, a place really worthy of visiting at least once if you love great architecture, a peacefully environment and great view all around (due to its location).

Local street vendor Ashok Vaidya is credited with inventing the dish in 1966 at his stall outside the Dadar railway station.Hundreds & thousands of textile mill workers traveled through the Dadar station daily on their way to mills in Parel and Worli. Vaidya realized these workers needed a cheap, filling, and easily transportable meal, and came up with the idea to pair the vada with pav. With times it was Championed by regional political movements, the snack quickly became a symbol of Maharashtrian pride and working-class grit.
And till today Mumbai Wada pav is served as one of the Maharashtrain pride & versatile dish served in most localities & relished by many whoever visits Mumbai never misses to have taste of this local food .

Gateway of India, literally thats the name given to Mumbai, it was & is the gate way to India.
No 1. to do things in your Mumbai tour list a historical place, opposite the great Taj Hotel. That the spirit of Mumbai, nothing can stop.
A must watch Light & Sound show at around 8:00 PM (Hindi) and 8:30 PM (Marathi) everyday at the Gateway of India. It was a great experience as it reminds us the great Maharashtrain History of Shivaji Maharaj & his kingdom his bravery in saving our Motherland India .

The Dwarkadish temple in Shirgaon, Virar is inspired from the original Dwarka temple in Gujurat. The temple has many intricate carvings in it. The environment is very beautiful. The surrounding is filled with trees and mountains. This itself makes the temple look even more beautiful. The photo and videos aren't allowed inside the main sanctum. If you try clicking photo of the main deity, the volunteers will come and sn**ch your phone-they literally do it without hesitation. Best time to visit-in the morning before 10am because the environment is cooler/warmer/pleasant at that time.
The temple has a very good positive energy from every corner of the temple. The temple closes at 1pm (opens at 6 or 7 am) and repoens at 4 pm. The temple's gopuram resembles the one present in Puri Jagannath temple. The architecture is extremely beautiful, depicting different things like Krishna and Sudama, Mahavishnu with a elephant below it, etc. There is a Shivling on the left side of the temple. It has a whole new different aura-it is a spatikam lingam. Additonally, you will find a replica of the govardhan mountain in the same compound. Overall, the temple has a very divine and spiritual environment.
How to reach?
1. Get down at Virar station
2. Exit from Virar east side
3. Take an auto. There are 2 types of autos-share and direct auto.
4. Share auto will charge Rs.70 per head and will accommodate 4 people in it.
5. Direct auto will charge Rs.250 for all the people-its a cumulative amount, not the per head amount. If you want to make the auto wait till you take the darshan and come back, he will charge Rs. 450/-.
Additional info-The Dwarkadish temple is located in close proximity to Viva college of architecture. There is a canteen in it where you can have some tea and snacks and yes, people coming to take darshan can also have food here as,well .

A lot of people in Mumbai rely on the daily markets not used to the online buying, Koliwada & koliwadi fisherman markets are famous for their fresh stocks right from the Sea,mostly locals are happier with such purchase cause not only they help the small scale business markets it's a chain where the food follows hungry stomachs to fetch their food too.
Called as Maushi these loving smiling faces with no glamour feed the souls around them before filling their own stomachs, this time in Mumbai I covered such beautiful souls & stories. The Cats around the Maushis in Aamchi mumbai .

The accompaniments — white chutney, red chutney and sambar — were nice, with the white chutney being especially outstanding with the mini idlis was outstanding.
We tried the more unconventional Moringa Leaf Dosa, but the Moringa Leaf Dosa, being unique, definitely stole the show and finished off our meal with filter coffee. The coffee was satisfying.
They also sell South Indian podi and paste varieties, which is a nice add-on.
Quality of food & service is really good would highly recommend this place for breakfast & lunch .
