Routine Travel Restrictions in China

We would like to inform you that the Chinese government has issued the following notice, which will affect travel to, from and within the country as well as some sightseeing itineraries over the dates mentioned below.

In accordance with the Civil Aviation Administration of China, the following twelve airports will experience delays due to military exercises between August 1 and August 15:

Shanghai Hongqiao, Shanghai Pudong, Nanjing, Hangzhou, Hefei, Jinan, Wuxi, NIngbo, Qingdao, Lianyungang, Zhengzhou and Wuhan.

In addition, martial law will be in place in Beijing during the following dates: August 22-23 and September 2-3.

During these four days, Tiananmen Square and the Wangfujing area will be restricted with limited to no access. Within this area, hotels and restaurants will be closed and sightseeing tours venturing into these areas of the city will not be possible.

On September 3 from 09:30am to 12:30pm, Beijing Capital International Airport will be closed. Flights with arrival or departure times falling between those three hours will be reorganized and the new flight details will be shared as soon as they are made available.

Bali International Airport Open Again
Following Temporary Closure

Bali International Airport in Denpasar was temporarily closed due to the volcanic eruption of Mount Raung in Java but has now opened again. A number of flights that were diverted are now landing in Bali, though delays are to be anticipated. Some airlines have cancelled flights and are expected to reinstate services from tomorrow.

We advise clients to contact their respective airlines for an up-to-date flight status.

Typhoon Nangka Expected to Strike
Western Japan Later This Week

Typhoon Nangka is presently over open water in the Pacific Ocean and expected to make landfall in West Japan's Shikoku Island on the morning of 17 July. It is predicted that rainfall and wind speeds will increase across Japan from 16 July.

The typhoon is approaching at a speed of 20 kilometers per hour, though forecast to weaken before touching mainland Japan.

There is currently no effect on public transportation and we are monitoring the situation closely. We will be in touch with clients on the ground should the need arise.

We would like to bring to your attention that Dubai Immigration & Government Offices will be closed starting from Thursday, 16th July till Monday, 20th July 2015 (both days included) on account of Eid Al Fitr. Work will resume on Tuesday, 21st July 2015.

Please be advised that we will not be able to accommodate any last minute visa requests.

Bali International Airport has re-opened as of midday Saturday, 11th July after a further extension of tis closure overnight.

First domestic flights have departed and arrived. Airlines have opened for check-in and the first International flight arrival is expected for the early afternoon.

Lombok Airport has been opened last night and first flight movements of domestic and international flights have been recorded this morning.

The ash cloud has mostly cleared during the morning hours as winds have set in and turned, however, there is a possibility the volcano may erupt again in the coming days and weather conditions may change which urges further closures.

Flight passengers may contact the airlines as some flight services are under review.

Bali International Airport remains closed due to an ash cloud rising from Mount Raung as reported earlier today.

We have since been informed that Bali International Airport, closed since midnight 09 July, will remain closed until 05:00 am on 11 July 2015.

Flights due to arrive into Bali continue to be held at the departing destination, or have been cancelled for safety reasons.
