Some friendships are built over years, and some are built through the adventures you choose to share. ❤️

It was our absolute honour to host our dear friend Richard Richard Rishi once again and create memories together in the breathtaking landscapes of Kashmir. From the beauty of Gulmarg to the spirit of the Amarnath Yatra, this journey was filled with moments that will stay with us for a long time.

Richard has been more than a friend to us. He has been a wonderful companion through many adventures, bringing the same curiosity, warmth and spirit of exploration every time we travel together. And despite the cameras, the celebrity life and everything that comes with it, what we cherish most is simply the friendship we share and the roads we continue to discover together.

Thank you, Richeee, for trusting us with another beautiful adventure and for capturing these memories in your own way. We are so happy to share this reel from that unforgettable Kashmir journey.

Here’s to many more miles, mountains, stories and adventures together. ❤️🏔️

🌻 Does the sunflower really follow the Sun?

We’ve all grown up hearing that sunflowers turn their faces and follow the Sun from sunrise to sunset. But here’s the fascinating truth — they don’t do it forever.

Young sunflower buds display a beautiful behaviour called heliotropism. During the day, they slowly track the Sun from east to west, and through the night, they turn back towards the east, ready to greet the morning light.

But as the sunflower matures and blooms, something changes.

The stem becomes stronger and less flexible, and the flower generally settles facing east. And there’s a beautiful reason behind it — an east-facing sunflower warms up faster in the morning, which can help attract pollinators such as bees.

So, the sunflower isn’t simply following the Sun.

It is growing with the Sun, learning from the light, and eventually choosing where to face.🌻☀️

A little story.
A little science.
And a myth worth busting.

Nature is full of stories — sometimes, we just need to look a little closer.

Some journeys leave you with memories. Others leave you with purpose.

Collaborating with Chanakya University for the Natural History & Wildlife Photography course was one such experience. It was far more than teaching in a classroom—it was about learning together, exploring together, and discovering the stories of wildlife, nature, history, and heritage through the lens.

Every discussion, every walk outdoors, every photograph, and every curious question reminded us that learning is at its best when it is shared.

These are the first glimpses from an unforgettable journey, with many more moments still to come.

We are deeply grateful to Chanakya University for believing in this collaboration and giving us the opportunity to be part of a learning experience that will stay with us for a long time.

Here's to many more stories, explorations, and shared adventures.

What if the perfect tiger photograph came at a cost?

Every time a tiger is surrounded by safari vehicles, exposed to loud engines, excited voices, and constant human presence, it experiences stress that we often don't see.

Recent research conducted by the CSIR–Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB) suggests that chronic tourism-related disturbance may elevate stress levels in tigers, influence breeding behaviour, and reduce the safe spaces mothers need to raise their cubs.

As wildlife enthusiasts, photographers, and travellers, this isn't about stopping safaris.

It's about making them more responsible.

This International Tiger Day, we've published a blog that explores:
• How scientists measure stress in wild tigers
• Why overcrowded sightings are a growing concern
• The hidden impact on breeding and cub survival
• What each of us can do to become better wildlife observers

If we truly love tigers, perhaps the greatest gift we can give them is a little more space.

Read the full blog through the link in our bio.

Let this International Tiger Day be a reminder that conservation isn't just about protecting wildlife—it is also about respecting it.

For one unforgettable week, Team Parikrama had the privilege of collaborating with Chanakya University as part of their Chanakya Studio course on Natural History and Wildlife Photography.

Together, we explored the fascinating world of wildlife, photography, storytelling, and conservation—both inside the classroom and out in the field. One of the highlights of the course was our immersive field visit to Nandi Hills, where learning came alive through observation, photography, conversations, and shared experiences in nature.

This beautiful video, created by one of the students, captures the energy, curiosity, friendships, and memorable moments from that incredible day. Watching it reminds us why experiential learning is so powerful—it inspires people to slow down, observe, ask questions, and develop a deeper connection with the natural world.

A heartfelt thank you to Chanakya University, the faculty, and every student who brought enthusiasm, curiosity, and passion to the course. It was a joy to learn, teach, explore, and create together.

Here's to many more journeys of learning, storytelling, and discovering nature—one adventure at a time. 🌿📷❤️

Some places don't ask you to rush—they simply invite you to slow down.

Walking through endless sunflower fields, watching every bloom glow under the sun, feeling the breeze, and soaking in the vibrant colours of nature... it's a reminder that beauty often lies in the simplest moments.

This little escape is from Bandhav Nivas, Bandhav Nivas where every season paints a different story. 🌻☀️

Come for the sunflowers, stay for the peace, and leave with memories that bloom forever.

Suno…
Not every place speaks loudly.
Some places whisper through the cold mountain breeze, fluttering prayer flags, quiet monasteries, and mornings that feel untouched by time. 🇧🇹

Bhutan felt like slowing down in the best way possible.
Early morning hikes, peaceful trails, crisp air, and a kind of calm you carry back home with you.

Sometimes the most beautiful journeys are the ones that make you pause… and simply feel. ✨

15/05/2026

From the quiet mountain roads to the peaceful smiles of strangers, Bhutan felt less like a destination and more like a lesson in how life can move gently. 🇧🇹

No unnecessary honking.
No rushing.
No chaos at junctions.
No rash driving.

And the most unbelievable part?
An entire country functioning without traffic signals.

Yet everything moves with patience, discipline, and mutual respect.

Vehicles are parked only in designated spaces. Drivers calmly stop for pedestrians without frustration. Nobody is trying to overtake aggressively. Nobody is in a battle to reach first. The roads don’t feel loud — they feel humane.

Somewhere between the monasteries, prayer flags, and Himalayan valleys, we realised Bhutan’s true beauty isn’t just in its landscapes or rich heritage… it’s in the behaviour of its people. A culture where calmness is practiced every single day.

Coming from the beautiful chaos of namma Bengaluru, this honestly felt unreal — like a European town hidden in the Himalayas.

We came back with memories, admiration, and one thought we can’t stop carrying home:

If an entire country can move without honking, without signals, and still with so much order…
can we ever do it too? ❤️
