Our team of 20 young energetic engineers and management graduates located in all major cities of India and they manage projects for our clients from around the globe. Technical and regulatory knowledge and breadth of business experience of our founder members help our clients strategically manage the client requirements and provide timely solutions. We support our clients to get Wireless Equipment Type Approvals (ETA) for delicensed wireless products like Wifi, BlueTooth, NFC, RFID and all other low power wireless devices. The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEF&CC) has proposed a draft notification introducing Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) for scrap of non-ferrous metals under Hazardous and Other Wastes (Management and Transboundary Movement) Rules, 2016. This move aims to enhance environmental responsibility in managing metal scrap.

To support this, the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) plans to launch an online portal on April 01, 2025. This portal will simplify compliance and bring greater accountability to non-ferrous metal scrap management.

Key Provisions

- EPR Framework: Managed through the online portal, including EPR certificates and compliance monitoring.

- Producers: Must meet environmental standards, create public awareness, and manage scrap collection.

- Recyclers: Must process scrap without environmental harm, follow environmental standards, and submit regular returns (quarterly and annual).

- State Governments: Expected to allocate space for scrap recycling, develop infrastructure, and run public awareness campaigns.

National Centre for Communication Security (NCCS) Update

- From August 1st, 2024, Optical Network Terminal (ONT) products can undergo Voluntary Security Certification (VSC).

- ONTs that are not certified under the MTCTE must obtain security certification by February 1st, 2025. Until then, they can apply under the voluntary certification scheme.

- ONTs certified by TEC under MTCTE and deployed in telecom networks must obtain mandatory hashtag hashtag by April 1st, 2025. Until the mandatory date, they can apply for the voluntary scheme and propose hardware or software changes.

Note: During the VSC period, administrative and Security Test Evaluation Fees are waived.
