Tourism products and services of BTR as shared between conglomeration of tourism stakeholders of the BTR and Investor in BTR Tourism, its promotion and marketing to different segment. Formed on 19th of November 2021 in a meeting attended by good number of tourism stakeholders and other allied activists, eminent social activists & ecologists of BTR regions, held at Florican Cottage, Bansbari Range,
Manas National Park and is registered as Society under the Society Act XXI of 1860, Assam vide no RS/BAK/260/M/92 of 2021-22. Director of Assam Tourism, Govt Of Assam and some experienced senior intellectuals, we have formed BTDS with a broad objectives bringing all concerned stakeholders under one umbrella for a common cause. The prime aim of the society is to identify the key stakeholders in tourism development as they play a very important role in any organisation/industry with their support and commitment, the progress of tourism in BTR will be far – fetched.
2. To make an effort to create new tourism products, develop new tourism activities to extend overnight stay of the tourists for a minimum of 2 days. Identify and trap the opportunity of transit tourists of entry and exit of adjoining areas of Bhutan and Arunachal Pradesh (IN).
3. The society will not encourage Mass Tourism in the region to safeguard its natural beauty and maintain ecological balance.
4. The society will help the tourism department of Bodoland in the development and implementation of the SDG 2030 for the development of BTR.
